Re: Banbury Utd - away
Just hope after last season's fiasco we get decent notice of any fixture postponement. The weather is not looking very good at present

Re: Banbury
The only other time I can remember getting as close to an away game that was subsequently postponed, was a match at Cheltenham a few years ago when an icy strip near a stand didn't thaw in the expected sun. That also was a very long abortive journey which was made even more irksome when I found out ...

Re: Attendance
Bur regarding the original question, what arrangements are in place - if any - for anyone wanting to attend the friendly matches at Newton Aycliffe, Tadcaster etc. Not likely to be big attendances of course, but a similar match at Scarborough last year was "all ticket"?

Looks like this may help to resolve the need for the regular testing of employees. Perhaps a local company could offer access to lateral flow tests as part of some sort of sponsorship arrangement? Re: Spennymoor Away
For what it's worth I was within earshot of the guy organising the stewards at the bottom end of the ground well before kick off and he was telling them that only disabled and those who would not be able to stand were allowed to sit in the limited seating at that end of the ground. Red and white ta...

Re: Spennymoor Away
There was some terrace standing space available near the seated stand end of the ground. Awkward single file step access though from near the TV gantry. About 15 minutes before kickoff, stewards walked down this section offering supporters seats in the - under-populated - section of the adjacent sta...

Re: King’s Lynn
Agree that the ticketing arrangements were very odd and poorly advertised. Asked for an away ticket but stood at the covered (home) side of the ground. No issues. Surprised no one has mentioned the Beckham style attempt to lob the keeper from the halfway line. Came back off the bar but would have be...

Has left York City and has taken up a full time job "in the North East" with a sports clothing company. Apparently wants part time football but not the travelling involved in Nat.League North. Heading for Northern League it seems.

Wonder if this is a missed opportunity? Apparently (and unusually) Newcastle, Middlesbrough and Sunderland all away that weekend. Maybe we would have got a bigger crowd on the Sunday if Saturday was impossible?
Also better for fans who travel long distances.

Re: York City
I wonder if this is the start of Gateshead being pulled apart. The owners want out and say they have been talking to some interested parties but there's no news yet. Meanwhile virtually all the squad are now free agents and the manager is out of contract. If there isn't a deal to buy them soon you ...

Know a bit about this. Jason and the McGill family have been loyal York City fans for decades. They have put their heart, soul and money into the Club. They do not deserve to be compared to transient investors in other clubs. Jason's company could only invest in the football club if they were confid...

Re: Current Cash Flow
I can see with today's postponement the club could have more cash flow problems. Seems sensible to get 500 club members to help out. Perhaps offer a rolling extension to the deal at £25 per month? I appreciate that it would take some organisational effort but once set up it could guarantee a steady ...

News that there may be investors interested in the Club is welcome. Doubly so if they have a Darlington background. Previous problems with private owners have centered around their expectation that land at Neasham Road (and prior to that Feethams) could be developed to provide additional income stre...

Re: Other Alternatives
If the new owners of the Arena are flexible, is there any mileage in seeing whether they would lease the 6000+ capacity east stand to the football club? Would solve most of the infrastructure issues and must be cheaper and quicker than some of the plans being debated on here. Each code would have th...

The Lino flagged offside so the pen and sending off should not of counted As Breedon has stated, that had already been overruled by the ref. An assistant referee should lower his flag immediately the ref indicates a "play on". The assistant referee was still flagging when the shot, which was handle...

Thought it generally went well although the unlit toilets were inadequate so some "portaloos" may be needed. No congestion at the turnstiles was an unexpected plus. If there was a refreshment van then I didn't see it although the guys walking round selling pies from a tray had the right idea. If the...

At 60 years of age, my hearing is average, I only ever hear one or two of the team selection names read out, and if there's music going on at the same time, I've no chance. To be honest, unless the sound quality could be improved, it would make little difference to me if there was none at all. It d...

I thought that the playing surface at the Arena looked good on Tuesday evening. Also appreciated the good spectator view and quality facilities. My personal view is that - if it is an option - I'd rather we played there for a season than at either Bishop Auckland or an unfinished BM. Would also addr...
