Re: Weather - weekend onwards

The BBC forecast is underestimating the cold and potential for serious disruption next week. They are trying not to whip up a frenzy. Some of the snow forecasts for next week are staggering. There is a forecasted area of low pressure to move up from the south next Friday producing significant snow. ...

Quite right Dan - especially as Tamworth play on an artificial pitch.
In which case we may still get away with it! We'll see

Weather - weekend onwards

Without coming across all Darlo_Pete, the weather forecast for the weekend onwards is looking like being severely cold, with a beast from the east forecast, ice days and snowmageddon a la winter 2010. I'm a bit of a saddo and read the weather forums and I'm not exaggerating in the slightest. Covers ...

£28k still to raise in 37 days.

Is there some sort of contingency plan should the funds not be raised?

Boost the Budget

Still need around 40k in 40 or so days. What are the implications of this target not being met? - all monies have to be returned if not 100% achieved. Have we budgeted on us reaching that target?

I understand RS has not had chance to explain himself at the Netcafe, but based on current opinion, should the investment be accepted?

I'm for the investment - its a no brainer under the current model

However, RS is such a divisive character, i can't see us getting 75% of people voting for it

Small steps is the key. i) £50,000 for ground works and preparation of site including groundwork and relocation of floodlighting by 31st July 2017 ii) £50,000 for steel work and cladding by 30th September 2017 iii) £50,000 for purchase of seating deck by 31st December 2017 This also means should we ...

My worry is BM. No guarantees of it being OK for EFL. Not without moving the pipe. So investors will be needed. Where did you get the info from that it's about the pipe? Mentioned at forum. To be strictly accurate no plans have been drawn up for the ground to meet EFL standards, though it was menti...

Re: Fans forum

We are at a real crossroads. I believe tonight is the most significant moment in the past 5 years. Half the fans want a wholly fan owned club - however this means we have basically hit the ceiling. Other half would like investment from outside to push forward - but then run the risk of it all going ...

Controversially, i think he may suggest attracting an outsider to invest in order to fund the developments needed. We need to be honest and think that is likely to be the only way to return to t...

Re: From the Board of Directors Summary of Appeal

I presume Martin Gray will be at the meeting. It'll be very interesting to hear what he has to say about the debacle. Suspect he will say he is disappointed but he is proud of the way the team have played this season, particularly in the last few few weeks since news came out. I wouldn't expect any...

Re: From the Board of Directors Summary of Appeal

It's a fair argument about having to invest significant sums in ground facilities without guarantee of promotion (and is out of step with other leagues). But as it is an FA rule, and the appeal is to the FA, it is doomed to fail.

Re: Poole Town Play Off Issue and Darlo

Has the NL/FA offered any rationale as to why they require 500 seats for a playoff/promotion, yet allow you to be in the league with only 250 seats? Remember, there are other requirements beyond the extra seats to make a ground Cat A. Why allow until March the following season to make those extra ad...

Re: Poole Town Play Off Issue and Darlo

I'm sure MG would stay for another year, on the basis we fund a new stand. I agree though he would not hang around if there was uncertainty.

This ground grading issue will have other repercussions, beyond the kick in the balls the NL will deliver in the next week

Re: Poole Town Play Off Issue and Darlo

How much will it cost to upgrade the ground next year?

It can't be underestimated the massive PR impact this will have, not forgetting the impact on playing squad/management and any possible future signings. It will very much feel like a backwards step, especially to the floating fans
