Re: Darlington V Alfreton

A big day out for York today, away to Kings Lynn.

They still haven’t got the go ahead to move stadium and I wonder if they will be forced to move in with a handful of important home fixtures left to play?

Re: Darlington V Alfreton

Tomorrow will be the 8th game in a busy sequence that started V York on the 21st of last month. I will have seen them all - all being well, and we've hd some good results during this period. That's 8 games in less than a month.

Re: Craig Morley

I find it strange that this is such a major topic, personally i am not interested, as far as I am concerned this is up to the individual and the board. It is like these reality tv shows where people are so interested in other people's lives, me I am just happy to enjoy my life. I have trust in the ...

Re: Darlington V Alfreton

Away at Alfreton was the match when our players finally got it together. They took the battering that Alfreton gave out - then outplayed them.

Liddle in particular was brilliant.

If the muddy wet patch had been in or around the centre of the pitch - the Spennymoor players would never have noticed.

Re: Spennymoor game off

Given the amount of rain that had fallen it would have been prudent to get a local ref to have a look at the pitch in good time. They didn't and allowed fans and players to travel, even issuing assurances that everything was OK.Of course, once the ref deemed areas of the pitch unfit, they immediate...

When this used to happen at Feethams it did my head in, but that was over 20 years ago and communications, weather forecasting and pitches themselves are so much better now.

Down with this sort of thing!

And... Who is to say all the current advertising boards have been renewed but left up to make it look like we’ve sold more that we have? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro I don't think that would happen - all the firms in this imaginary situation would just think what's the point in ever renew...

Pete, I think you may have misunderstood my point -

- yes we should be giving it our all, the players should be giving it their all, but as a supporter the situation isn't as stressful as normal, like when we were trying to get out of the Northern League for example.

Re: Today's results Saturday January 11th 2020

it's all a bonus though innit  We're not going hellbent for promotion, there's no pressure, and in some ways promotion would throw up some big issues that we're not quite ready for. So personally I'm going to enjoy the rest of the season, hope for a good run in, but not feel despondent if w...

It was on a twitter post apparently. Someone just needs to,find and screen shot it. I have the screenshot but sadly, as it uses Spen’s real name, if I go off previous threats/warnings from the mods, I wouldn’t be allowed. Unless Spen, given his challenge to me, is fine with it being posted. Spen mi...

Possibly?

I was told this at 5pm. There could be numerous reasons though, and I too wonder what they are.

He was there at the game so it looks like there hasn't been a fall out.
Unless he was told this at 5pm as well!

I think that getting to this stage is a reflection on how much the clubs profile has been lifted, I believe that we as a club must pool all our resources and endeavour to take it to the next level Sponsors are at an all time high the feel good factor is back .a win tomorrow would be fantastic. I don’t think we will finish above Spennymoor (Karlo-Cardiff) if this happens then Ainsley should be replaced. However we may be able to get a 6th or 7th place finish, which would entail us winning three away ties in quick succession to get promotion. Possible, but a tall order! D.J. Will have a pla...

Simon Weaver was spotted last night - I bet he's pleased with the outcome, a physically less demanding game, closer to home. Straight to penalties too I've been told, no extra time.

I can't see Harrogate bringing more than a 100, as they don't travel in numbers. So I'd be surprised if it is segregated.

It's hardly traveling though!

If only about 100 Harrogate fans turn up then it's a pathetic effort by them.

Long ball is a legitimate tactic, I agree. Teams can play how they wish to within the rules of the game, however it's bleak to watch. When I came away from Spennymoor on New Years Day I thought that if they were my local team I wouldn't go, they were just so awful to watch, one dimensional, aggressi...

Here is the future in the arena

This was with around 1600 in attendance. The thought of staring at those pale pink seats with only 6% of the arena filled is depressing.

I could only digest 1 minute 20 seconds of that. Absolutelybloodyawful.

Halfway through the second half we appeared to lose our spark whilst some of the opposition players seemed unusually fresh, and that was going up the hill too. At this point we should have made changes and run the game down for a draw. We know from recent wins at home that the players can now play t...
