Re: Darlington V Chorley
To me the 2 must win games are Southport and Farsley any other points are a bonus This is my take also - annoying I'd have only had Farsley if we had beaten Rushall... They might be the two most winnable games (on paper) but heaping all the pressure on those two games is also not a great idea. We s...

Re: Darlington V Chorley
This game on Friday has nothing to do with that. It's a game, we need three points to help us avoid relegation - any talk of revenge or of Gowling is not relevant.

Re: Rushall v Darlington
Griffiths was matched up against that really good player they have on loan from Walsall - and, possibly he (Griffiths) couldn't play in his normal way because of the plastic pitch?

Re: Complacency
Here’s a positive. Young will be back in goal on Friday. I watched the live stream yesterday and my Taylor related, penalty box stress syndrome returned, big time. And it’s taken me quite sometime to get over this condition - and if I suffer from it, imagine how the Darlo defenders feel?

I’m sure Scott Thornberry has been on here multiple times to say that the pipe simply can’t be moved under any circumstances.

Re: Asante thread
The threads about Asante are like his time on the pitch - elusive and easy to miss. This new soccer ombudsman could look at this one. Has there been a bigger waste of money at Quakers? Even Bernie Slaven jogged around a match and scored sometimes. Nick Pickering? Biggest disappointment ever for me....

Re: What's the point of fan ownership?
This thread has the wrong title and it seems to be all over the shop. The original question was “What’s the point of fan ownership?” and this has led to navel gazing and ruminating about possible “investors” and all sorts of big stuff that will never be agreed upon, and probably isn’t even properly ...

If we escape relegation, and if Steve and Terry stay - then I reckon next season's BTB could be the best ever.

Re: What's the point of fan ownership?
What’s the point of fan ownership?🤔 Originally the point of fan ownership was to rescue the football club from certain death, but now I suppose it exists to keep some dodgy wannabe owner like Singh/Reynolds/Haughton at bay, so that the same inevitable death spiral doesn’t get the chance to kick in a...

Re: Rushall tickets
Looking on NLTV website our game at Rushall is not listed as being available to watch, which is disappointing. I would have thought there would be plenty of demand from Darlington supporters to stream this game given how crucial it is. I can see that we could take around 400 fans, especially if it ...

Re: Football Regulator
The Bill will create a regulation body independent from the football authorities and government to oversee clubs in the top five tiers of English football. The most notable thing, from a non-league viewpoint is that the regulator's powers end at the Football League. There seems to be a contradictio...

Special mention for Carl Shutt My favourite emergency goal keeper. He pulled on the goalies top 2 or 3 times and didn’t stand for any nonsense.

Yes, off the top of my head, Collett, Preece, Gerkin, Moilanen. We've had some great goalies.

Re: Reff Gareth Thomas
The ref could have given a penalty to P'boro in the first half. I thought it was touch and go and he made the right decision to go and have a chat with the linesman then place the free kick right on the edge of the box. I think because there was a bit of doubt he didn't give the penalty, which was g...

What’s happened at Scarborough?
In their last ten games - no wins, 3 points, and they’ve scored 1 goal.

What a great player he is, he handled every situation, took numerous hits and IMO should have been MOTM.

Sounds like it. If we want to manage risk it feels like we need another striker through the door. What about what's-his-name? If he's not fit now he never will be. :? Even if he’s fit I cannot see the point in playing him as he will be miles short of match fitness with only 7 games to go.Such a sic...

Yes, we should be able to be competitive in this division.
What didn't help was the previous policy of lowering of expectations by the powers that be - talk about shooting yourself in the foot.
It reminds me of that Ratners jewellers thing, when Mr Ratner said that his products were total crap.

Re: Blyth V Darlington
Nice to finally be out of the relegation zone! Still a way to go, but the way that we are playing now I am confident we will carry on picking up points. 7 games to go and we need - maybe about 10 points? That feels very doable, as long as we can keep key players fit. I do worry what would happen if...
