Re: Darlington V Peterborough Sports

I certainly don’t think we’ll be looking to rotate/ rest players in the next few matches. We’re playing the same players every week, they’re in form, they are understand their roles and are continuing get results. No more Tuesday night games to go so we should be through the worst of it in terms of...

Re: Darlington V Peterborough Sports

Me personally I would go full strength at Rushall and hopefully get the win which realistically barring a complete capitulation would see us pretty much safe. Then I'd be giving a day off to the likes of Barrow, Main, Cornish in the Chorley game. Are you stupid? The lads are being ran into the grou...

Re: Darlington V Peterborough Sports

Watching the penalty incident on the video, if the ref thought it was a foul then it should have been a penalty. However to me it looks like the player tried to con the ref so maybe the outcome was fair!

Re: Darlington V Peterborough Sports

Another massive win. Pleased we don’t have a match Tuesday and now we can get two training sessions in before the 6 pointer next week. I see Bishop Stortford were relegated with 17 points today, 6 of which were gifted by us! Shows how far we have come in the last few months, Watson and Mitchell are...

Re: Darlington V Peterborough Sports

Thought we were pretty poor until we scored, after that we looked far better. But I think a draw would have been a fairer result for a pretty decent Peterborough Sports team. The PA is rubbish especially in the tinshed, I never heard who was MOTM or the crowd announcement. The PA needs sorting. If ...

He was far better in Blake’s 7. (One for the oldies that)
Is that anything to do with Robbie Blake 😂
No, that Blake was far too recent, think more like late 70s!

Re: Darlington V Peterborough Sports

We would have lost that game over the last 12 months.
Watson is getting the best from this group of players and for some of them, we are seeing why Armstrong brought them in, Platt, Lees and Salkeld in particular

Re: Spennymoor V Darlington

I feel it is my duty to report that Spen is being a bell end on The Tin Shed and so please bear this in mind when he next posts on here. They’ve done the double for the first time so have the bragging rights for now. They forget they are the equivalent of an itchy arsehole, it bothers you for a sho...

Southport and Kings Lynn winners today amongst the teams at the bottom.

Blyth definitely in the relegation dogfight now.
Especially pleasing considering some comments coming from their fans not so long ago about our position.

Re: Spennymoor V Darlington

Nelson injured, Cornish clearly not 100% and Main looked like he was struggling early on, kept feeling his leg and I wasn't sure he'd make the rest of the game. We could really do with some reinforcements and sharpish. Totally agree, really cannot understand why we are not signing anyone when other...

Re: What's the point of fan ownership?

It's great that we're able to rely on so many talented volunteers, but being 100% reliant on volunteers raises issues. And when said volunteers just run out of steam then we struggle to replace them with a similar or better standard, ie the Kev Luff situation. Who knows, if Kev had been getting som...

Do you remember Carl Shutt in goal Loan-star? Not only was he a super ace player on the pitch but when he turned into an emergency keeper he was capable, brave and took no s*** from anyone. Aye he was good! Also, Saturdays guest in hospitality was Mark Hine who also ended up in goal a couple of tim...

I listened on DFR. Didn’t this goalie make two good saves at the end of the match? I think from Salkeld.
Talking of DFR, how on earth did Michael Cansfield not know Young was 17? And don’t start me on the Farsley misinformation……

Re: Curzon V Darlington

We still need to try more shots from outside the box as Will showed us the way. Particularly when the opposition keeper is playing on one leg. Don't think I've ever seen a keeper having to carry on when they are as hampered as that by injury. He looked to be in agony. This match last night again sh...

Re: Scott Barrow

Real shame if he is out for rest of season which I guess he will be if it is broken. Why do we seem to get such bad luck. Think he has been hugely influential in the games he has played and will be a big miss given he can play a number of positions. Sure we wil have tried for Burton and if not, it ...

Armstrong looked utterly broken after beck left, and that very plainly seeped into the team. Jacob Blyth flopped, but he spent his whole time with us hearing interviews in which Armstrong implied he wasn't good enough. Whatever Armstrong did before then - and a whole load of it was good to great - ...

Re: Darlington v Buxton

Is there any wonder when he was priced out of his main targets following the departure of Beck and then was informed he had even less to spend in the summer. We finished top half under the previous budget so mid table was going to be par for the course at best. All the way though the summer we were ...

Re: The bottom seven

Nice analysis. Couple of additional points: we need to keep going and finish as high as possible as we don’t know what will happen with any bankruptcies or relegation for non-footballing reasons. Maybe 4th from bottom will survive? Rushall only get 300-400, unless there is a decent away following. ...

Players are going out on loan but the ones we have tried to get have chosen other clubs in better positions. Even players who want to get themselves in the shop window are choosing other options. Agree I thought Lees would have been a good shout too but a number of others also.
We had it between Griffiths, Main, Rivers, Lees and Nelson for the impact he made on the game. Apparently it’s Griffiths first ever MOM in his time here.

Re: Darlington v Buxton

I think we really need to be trying to tie Watson and Mitchell down to be here next season, regardless of which league we are playing in. I think they should be able to build a team that is either capable of holding their own in NLN or being promotion contenders in the league below. I look at this ...
