Re: National League North statement

It's probably York's best chance of going up if a load of clubs go bust by being forced to play without fans.

Re: SEASON POSTPONED?

Some valid points particularly about pubs: -Im really sick of hearing “we can sit in a packed pub but not go to football”. What packed pubs? Hardly as if a pub will have anywhere near the amount in of even a northern league Game. Have these idiots spouting this s*** been to a pub lately? -i think t...

The big fear is that this may all be academic if we don't manage to halt this surge in the virus. Looks like it's coming back big time now people have dropped their guard.

Re: Arena it is

Does anyone know if this has any implications (financial or otherwise) for our agreement to play at BM? Darlington Rugby Club don't seem to have made any comment. I'm sure they will have a view on it.

Re: Darlington FC's position regarding inaccurate social media postings

People who profess to care about this club need to take a long, hard look at themselves when they use social media to undermine it. It's all very unsavoury and is not the way to raise issues that they may have.

Re: impact on ground capacity

It's still not yet certain that Boston will be able to kick off next season in their new ground and if they do manage it there will still only be two stands ready, so that will affect the capacity. They have previously said they have a groundshare option in place should the Covid delays mean the new...

We should get that Sky News presenter Niall Paterson invited along to a game. He said at the end of the interview that he's a Celtic fan but looking for an English team to support and he may take a close look at Darlo

Re: Ground share

Harrogate have chosen to tear up their pitch and groundshare for as long as it takes because they want to play at a higher level and they are not being asked to repay the huge grants they have been given. They could have just opted to stay in the National League, it was their choice not to. You are ...

Seeing as Spennymoor are always boasting about their ever increasing fan base it might be cost effective for them to share the arena with us too ,😀👍
I expect their arrangements will be announced first on the new big screen at the Field Of Dreams :D

Quinn must see a good property investment opportunity long-term because from the outside the timing of it looks just about the worst it could possibly be. I wonder if MP have got some kind of binding guarantees, if that's possible, regarding rugby activities going forward. Quinn must be very sure ab...

Re: Ground share

The compelling argument against it would be if this was some sort of underhand bid to move us there permanently. Clearly that is not the case. If it makes financial sense and allows all our fans to attend then it's the right temporary fix in an emergency situation. I just hope the League will allow ...

Re: Ground share

I think we would have to do what's necessary to get through these difficult times, including a switch on a TEMPORARY basis if required. I don't fear it would signal some kind of move to make it permanent and see it as a stop-gap to deal with an emergency. Some other issues would need to be looked at...

According to the Echo, DMP RUFC have a salary budget of £350,000 & also need funds to maintain and repair the Arena. Maybe someone will be waiting in the wings at tonight's emergency meeting of struggling Mowden Park.... "Members said speculation was mounting that an anonymous benefactor who had ef...

Yes they are spending again and yes they may well be up there again but among the pledges to their small band of fans time around is this from Groves: “Spennymoor Town FC WILL offer promotion-chasing football of an entertaining standard." Re: Who will follow Wigan Athletic into administration?

Plans afoot for a salary cap in the National League as well. 900k limit in the National League, 600k at our level is what’s been proposed. a good idea. wonder how it will be policed though? will some clubs 'get round' this by adding extras to the overall benefits package for players (free houses, c...

Presumably his starting point is the £2m he has invested (loaned) plus probably his totted up interest rate on top. But surely if this consortium has got gazillions to invest in this golden opportunity to take over a non-league club, then paying off RS will be just chicken feed to them.

Droylsden were kicked of the FA Cup the year they beat us, 2008. They subsequently beat Chesterfield but Pace fielded a player who was banned, Sean Newton, now at York. He scored two goals but shouldn't have been on the field and they were chucked out.

Be interesting to see how Chorley adapt having shed lots of their more expensive senior players and the club now being tagged as "young and hungry."
