Re: Rushall tickets
The ground under normal circumstances only holds 1,400 but the capacity will probably be a few hundred lower than that on Saturday aws they have demolished the stand behind one of the goals ready to put up a new seated stand to help meet ground grading requirements. The work is going on and that end...

Re: The Bottom Ten, Saturday Mar 16th 2024
The Rushall manager is already building up Saturday's game.... "We need every man and his dog to get behind us on Saturday"... He suggests they've been punished for switching off at key moments, even when dominating, but will keep on fighting to the end even though they can't compete financially wit...

Re: The Bottom Ten, Saturday Mar 16th 2024
Rushall will feel it's s*** or bust time next Saturday because I think they will struggle to get anything out of the three games after that against Alfreton, Boston and then Blyth. Keeping them at arm's length with a point would be OK for us but they will feel they have to win it, nothing less.

Wise move to go easy on the training this week especially as any injury niggles will get a real workout next Saturday on Rushall's plaggy pitch.

Re: Blyth V Darlington
Just watched the 3 interviews from last night, sat smiling as its fantastic to hear all the positive stuff after such a bad time, lot of hard work still to be done but the way we are playing and the sprit in the dressing room has me now feeling very optimistic. What a job Steve and Terry have done ...

Re: The Bottom Ten, Tuesday Mar 12th 2024
It looks like Banbury are imploding. They've just released one of their better players and the first team coach has walked out, saying he couldn't stand by and watch some of the things that are going on at the club. And they can't seem to get games played on that dreadful pitch. The fans are in revo...

Re: Spennymoor V Darlington
It was a bit of a surprise to see left-back Reece Staunton come on as a second half sub for Spenny given that he wasn't listed as a sub in their published teamsheet before the game. Dan Myers had been getting absolutely roasted down that flank in the first half and they obviously had to stem the flow.

Re: Spennymoor V Darlington
It sums it up when one of their former players takes to social media quickly after the game to post: " Up the moors. Another 3 points off them and another season finishing above them. All the best. 👍" Clearly that's job done for the season and the only matter of importance. Hopefully he's now enjoyi...

Re: Spennymoor V Darlington
We missed far too many chances to get anything out of the game, particularly in the first half. We ran out ideas and steam in the second half.
Was there some kind of World Cup presentation after the final whistle? I've never heard such a prolonged and animated celebration of 3 points

Re: Excellent interview with Scott Barrow
So far no word of the new York manager pulling Barrow back from the loan. He said he needed to look at everyone available to him and there were conversations to be had. York have some injuries in defence but seem to have a squad of about 35 players and are looking at more permanent signings. I know ...

Re: Spennymoor V Darlington
Hopefully they will use common sense and allow some Darlington fans into the largely empty seats behind the goal. Because it's stretching the boundaries of comfort and safety to try to squeeze this number of our supporters into the small terracing on the Tees Crescent side of the ground.

Re: What's the point of fan ownership?
Yes we need to beef up moves to get into a ground of our own but it has to be said many practical, economic, planning, land, timing and cash obstacles have been thrown up in the way of that. And yes some areas of communication need to be improved. I don't think anyone would dispute that. But aren't ...

Re: The Bottom Eight, Tuesday Mar 03rd 2024
The Blyth fans have really got the jitters now and are asking when their new "moneyman", with big promises of the Football League, is going to spend a couple of quid to ensure they don't drop down to the NPL.

Re: The Bottom Eight, Tuesday Mar 03rd 2024
Before the game I think most would have taken a point last night and a point from the Spenny game. Last night's surprise put us ahead of that points haul and whatever Spenny's form they will know they've been in a game.

Re: Darlington v Banbury 2/03/24
The real deal is having a manager who is just down to knowing the basics required to win games. Not over complicating things and a million miles from what JG was attempting to do. We are right on the coattails now of those above and if and when we are above the dotted line I can see us staying ther...

Re: The Bottom Seven, Saturday Mar 02nd 2024
If you look at League 2, which has 24 teams, over the last 8 completed seasons it gives a picture of what will probably be required. To finish 5th bottom you needed between 47 and 51 points and we currently have 37. So we may need between 10 and 14 more points from our remaining 10 games. The bit mo...

Re: Darlington v Banbury 2/03/24
We deserved our win even though they made a game of it in the second half after contributing nothing in the first half. They had some quite skilled young loanees who were full of running but it was their keeper who pulled off a couple of great saves and we also hit the post apart from the goals. The...

So they made an operating loss on the year of £63,376. The players wages and expenses were £210,316, plus transfer fees and loan costs of £25,237 and players medical expenses of £7,820. Re: Curzon V Darlington
I think the owners at Curzon Ashton are frustrated by the tiny crowds and have spoken about how much more they could do if they were better supported. If it's 140 home fans when they're in contention for the playoffs, you'd have to fear just how low it could go if they were struggling. Mind they can...

Looking at the survival fight, I noticed that Rushall are getting by with loads of loanees. They currently have seven loanees, all aged between 19 and 20, and all from clubs around the Midlands like Derby, Wolves, Walsall, Birmingham and Stoke. Not sure how many of them can feature together in a mat...

Re: Curzon V Darlington
Quite incredibly the Curzon manager has raised the question of whether the keeper could maybe have done a bit better with Hatfield's screamer despite his one-legged display of pain-defying courage and risk of further damage in battling on. If I was him I'd be having some serious words with boss Crai...
