Re: Darlo -Diary .We need significant change.

If there is a change of manager and cost cutting we must change and re-focus on local players and local talent. Yes Trottman and Nicholson are good players and I am not saying do not sign players that fit within the budget outside the local area - but as a club are we doing enough to get in local ta...

Re: Law changes season 19/20

Most of the ref's at this level are awful, its almost like they try too hard to get noticed and to send players off. I'd imagine most ref's don't particularly like working at this level and have aspirations to move up the leagues but many struggle to understand the laws of the game.

Re: Guiseley match thread

I wasn't at the game but from what I heard we sounded awful in the first half an toothless in the second. We lost to the 4th worst side in the division.
Quite simply looking at the stats we have conceded too many goals this season and we have not scored enough, that is why we are where we are.

Re: TW - Learning His Trade

I think we have seen enough over recent weeks we could potentially flirt with the playoffs next season (with TW in charge) - there were a few dud signings over the summer, we need to get rid of these, can we keep Ainge as a centre half as at this level as a striker he isn't going to cut the mustard ...

Re: Boston V Darlington

we finished on 55 points last season and even threatened the playoffs at one point.
This season has been a massive disappointment.
Gainsborough got relegated on 46 points last season.
Hopefully the fringe players will get given a run out over the last few games.

Re: Nuneaton....

seriously tomorrow is a massive game. Win and I think we will have enough points on the board to stay up (assuming we pick up several results until the end of the season). Lose or draw and I think we will be right in it, not only from a points point of view but from a confidence point of view.

Cast adrift at the bottom of the league, lost their last 7 league games, goal difference of -48, only about 14 players on their books, in financial turmoil and only won 3 games all season (all right one of them was against us)....

Apparently the owner signed a non interference agreement with Scholes to say that he wouldn’t get involved with picking the team, then promptly broke this arrangement. Scholes must have seen which way the wind was blowing. Even so he knows the club, his boyhood team, think management is just not fo...

Re: Statement from the board

to me the statement reads lets get behind the team until the end of the season. Then everything is potentially on the table. TW still has it in his own hands if he can somehow finish with a positive end to the season then maybe he stays however if the season fizzles out which is what is happening at...

Re: Tommy Wright

As expected the fans are split - which in my opinion means that TW will stay. A couple of left field appointment potentials - Peter Beardsley, just left Newcastle (under 23's manager and will have a good knowledge of the age group on our area) and Mark Sampson - former manager of the Lionesses. Both...

Re: Fans Forum

I think it would be worthwhile to have an update on things on and off the pitch - the Netcafe seems to work well. I suppose it doesn't need to be now, but at the very latest at the end of the season- if the club are wanting to selling season tickets for next season then the fans need some info and r...

Re: Telford V Darlington

Whilst I am not in favour of sacking managers in our financial predicament - Telford finished close to us last season, and were in a relegation battle until close to the end. The manager then got sacked, so they have a new manager this season, I am not sure what their budget is compared to ours but ...

Ainge

I think it has been quite clear for some time that Ainge is much better suited at the back - a back three of Ainge, Galbraith and Hughes - you could not get much better in this League. However, I think if Ainge wants to play up front, I think this is a level too high for him - he might be better ser...

agreed Kneeshaw needs to start - what better challenge for him than playing against the side at the top of the table. He can play up front with Ainge. At the end of the day Harvey Saunders is yesterdays fish and chip paper and we need to look ahead to the future. This is almost a free hit tomorrow, ...

I am prepared to give TW time - he is under a restricted budget and we are in no mans land with the ground situation with no expectations of it being resolved any time soon. Its tempting to think that Aspin could be available but I don't think we have the finances in place to get rid of the manageme...

Well Blyth's Mr Happy Alun Armstrong certainly wasn't impressed with the game. He barked: "The officials cost wuh. They can't keep coming here and giving everything against us." Apparently one of the worst games ever seen at Croft Park and neither side created any chances and it was only the offici...

Team: Maddison, Trotman, Muggleton, Smith, Hughes, Galbraith, Elliott, Palmer, Ainge, Thompson, Nicholson,

Subs: O'Hanlon, Wheatley, Henshall, Saunders, Kneeshaw

I presume Kokolo has gone back - seemed to be in and out of the side, maybe not ready for the rough and ready of the League

Re: The striker waiting for international clearance

I detect TW going back to his old ways. He mentions in his latest interview that Liam Hughes will be back for the next game, which will free up Ainge to play back up front again. We need a striker (whether it be on loan or free transfer) and we need competition for places otherwise we will start fli...

Well done the club on this. The club needs to get tougher on fans who just seem to want to make trouble - we all know all football clubs attract a certain type of person. Jamie Chandler has played at a higher level yes. Rob Ramshaw has hardly had a glittering career where the hell has he played since he left us. Finally, it’s managers that move players on, not the club or the fans so I never understand players mentality when doing stuff like this. Celebrate yes buck ...
