Re: Erico Sousa

I used to love Hodgie unearthing all these players- most of them weren't better than what we had - but there was the odd gem.

Re: Darlington V Tadcaster Albion FA Cup

Charman in the second half was not mobile at all, its going to take him time to build up to playing 90 mins twice a week, he does look a player though and did well playing up top on his own.

Personally I would love to go to a match, but perhaps it’s not safe enough yet.
Absolutely, so lets have the option. People who want to go to the match can go, people who do not want to go can watch the live stream.

Re: Link to puchase stream v Prescot Cables

cant get it on my smart tv which is a shame, tried the firestick and downloaded Puffin tv but you need to be connected to a google account - and to down google store is a right chew on - there are about 4 downloads to do - so I gave up - will be watching it on my laptop.

Re: Update Required?

Agree with this post. I cannot see how the season can go ahead, as soon as a ball is kicked the players contracts are activated and without crowds football at this level cannot be self funding. Don’t get me wrong I hope it does, but with areas in lockdown I cannot see it. Sent from my iPhone using T...

He is in the last year of his contract, so if he wasn't going to be playing week in week out this season he could have left on a free anyway. So I think its just a case of cashing in while they can.

A few things to take away from the Johnston interview: Two-year licence to use the Arena, which is because of the uncertainty over Covid. Talking to DRFC about the academy teams playing at Blackwell. Currently the licence there only covers the first team. And before our first home game, we need to ...

Re: Luke Trotman

Lots of us see footballers wanting to play football for the love of the game, but lots of people do it for the money and/or the fame. Look at Michael Owen, he prefers horse racing. Lots of footballers see football as a job as opposed to a sport. If he can earn more money elsewhere then good on him, ...

Would love to know the reasons for the resignation like, I've seen tweets and other things on Social Media slagging parts of the board off, now swiftly deleted.

Something isn't adding up..
What were the tweets implying?

Re: Ground share

Is there any logical reason that some people hate the Arena . Obviously there were bad times there due to unscrupulous characters who had no interest in the Football Club . The Arena in itself was not and is not the problem . The place is not jinxed or haunted . To state that you would never go the...

According to today’s Echo Vinnie Steels has returned to Sunderland to join their under 23 ranks after spells at Darlington York and Burnley. Wonder if they want to loan him out to a NLN team for experience? Certainly would make sense for him to get some first team experience - he needs to be playin...

Yes we are a fan owned club, but let’s not be run by committee, let DJ get on with the job and assess the viability of all the options.

Re: Ground share

From a personal point of view I already decided I will not be attending while restrictions are in place so whether it's at BM or the Arena makes no difference to me. Also from the League's perspective it makes little sense in allowing us to move to a bigger venue thus increasing crowds when the con...

Re: Ground share

Now there is a new guy at the helm of DMP - surely now its an opportunity to get into bed with these guys about a future ground share, smaller stadium etc - we all know the issues with DRC - both the club and the ground itself - at the end of the day we have to look after ourselves and a new facilit...

Apparently the arena is to be demolished to make way for housing and will replaced with a 7,000 capacity stadium for DMP.

Obviously I have no idea how genuine this is but it will be interesting to see what comes out of their EGM.
Seems like an ideal stadium size for us ...hint hint

Surely Darlington Rugby Club won't be happy us buggering off to the Arena - is it even legally possible? But we will have to continue to pay our rent to them.

I can't imagine a young keeper with little experience would be a Warnock keeper - so I would be surprised if he stood in his way of a loan move anywhere.
