Re: Jumior Mondal (Old Striker)

A few weeks ago, one of the old farts I stand with reckoned that Mondal was the highest paid player at DFC. That can't be right, can it?

Re: POINTS DROPPED FROM WINNING POSTION

No idea, but I did check last night as to how many clean sheets we've kept this season, seven from 35 games.

Re: Buxton Tuesday February 21st

I wonder if Andrew Nelson might come in to provide a boost in the last few games? Have seen him warming up in the last couple of home games and he is now hitting the ball as hard as anyone during shooting practice.

Re: Darlington vs. Leamington

Agree that Dodds had a good game, but I thought Lawlor should have been given MoM. Saved what looked to be certain goals on 2 occasions in the first half and scored the equaliser.

Re: Darlington V Brackley

There was a big change in tactics from Brackley in the second half and pretty much everything came down the Darlington left. From goal kicks their goalkeeper was shaped up to kick left, but put it to the right so Headley was under pressure from someone bigger than he is. He also had very little prot...

Re: Darlington V Curzon Ashton

Midway through the second half we had a free kick in their half, on the right side. Hedley was about to take it and everyone was in the box. I pointed about 20 yards beyond the far post to the chap standing next to me and said 'They need to put someone there, because that's where it's going to go.' ...

Thommo was doing sprints along the touch line before the game. Seemed to be moving well so hopefully not long before he is back.

Re: TW,s tactical nous!

Seems like our natural goal scorer has done pretty well operating on the left as he won a penalty against York and scored a 'worldy' today from a similar position.

Also wasn't it Thommo, one of TW's subs, who set Nelson up for his second goal today?

If Craig Stoddart happens to read this, definite penalty I reckon, Saunders was clipped. Ferguson deserved the send off he eventually got for mouthing off.

Re: Darlington FC V Spennymoor match thread

The breeze was a factor today. Spenny had it in their favour first half and it probably added about 20 yards to each goal kick.

Agree about the penalty, Ferguson was clipped and the ref bottled it.

Re: Darlington FC v Curzon Ashton

OK, too much vino already after a 3-1 defeat but can anyone with more football intelligence than me explain why Cartman didn't start? With the defence we have at the moment the only hope is all-out attack, especially at home against a mid-table side.

Re: Kids In Tin Shed

I was standing very close to the Boro fans in the second half and although they were a bit noisy at times, as you would expect, they were in no way aggressive, that came from the Darlo chavs who were a complete embarrassment. Having said that, Boro fans do need to realise that this was only the seco...

Re: Match Thread

Having kept them to 0-0 at half time was confident we would win with the wind at our backs for the second half. White, Hunter and Brown were immense in keeping them out.

Second half with the wind in our favour and fantastic support from the crowd there was only one outcome.

Re: Darlo v Northwich Match Thread

There was a lot of hoofball right from the start which always seems to be the case against the better teams. So why didn't MG play Brown at the back and Hatch up front with Armstrong/Hardman feeding off him? Their goal came after they put two players on Jameson to impede him.

Hope Jameson is OK. Was surprised when ref awarded a penalty as, in my view, the only reason Jameson didn't get to the ball was because their player went into him first and stopped him getting there.
