Re: Sports village

Whilst it would be nice to keep progressing through the leagues, it's not the end of the world that we are at Blackwell for the time being. When all is considered, at least we have a club we have some sense of control over and we have a team that plays for the shirt rather than what they can get in...

Re: Next season’s captain

Don’t know the bloke personally but I always had the impression Tait was a bit of a tosser. Would not want him back if he came back in thinking he was a big time Charlie. Certainly would not bring him in and make him captain above the likes of Hatfield and Liddle. The last thing we need is another ...

Re: Next season’s captain

Personally would not want to see Joe Tait back at the club. Nothing against the lad but don't think he will add much, or be an improvement on what we already have at the club. You don't think he will be an improvement on what we have? Have you forgotten Farsley? Or how about Telford? I could go on....

Joe Tait might be a good bet for a return if Galbraith leaves.
He’d be an upgrade in all fairness.

Don’t be so daft Darlo pay good money out, styche 750, Ainge 750 plus Thompson Galbraith Wheatley 500. If you lot think players are on peanuts you’re even more deluded than I thought. Spennymoor pay nowhere near out of the above and I know that for a fact. I won’t be replying anymore as will just e...

Re: Luke Trotman on his way

Trotman has had his head turned towards becoming a Z list celebrity as opposed to anything else. Ultimately, he will probably make more from that than a standard career and semi-pro football, or even the lower reaches of professional football, so I can't blame him.

Re: Thommo

The money Thommo has been allegedly offered is staggering.

Despite being one of our top earners, a 50% pay rise, and a 5 figure signing on fee. We couldn’t possibly match this and he couldn’t possibly turn it down.

Even if the benefactor pumps in serious cash, it is by no means a guarantee of success.

If we had our own ground then a fan ownership would be even better giving the fantastic fans we have Not owning a ground we can fully monetise will always be a hindrance but the same would be true whether fan owned or not. The current pandemic shows how vulnerable many clubs are both professional a...

Tough call if true but if it was necessary to keep Hatfield and Wheatley for example then probably the right call given the other options in the squad.

I don’t get all of this should we/shouldn’t we /can we go up. You go out and try to win a game each time and the rest takes care of itself. Red seats was always the wrong colour for us, why did George go for red, was it when he wanted to change the shirts to red and white stripes? Looking at our results so far, we have already played 5 out of the top 7 teams away from home with Boston and Chester to come this month.I would probably take our run in against any others tbh and I think we have a great chance of making the playoffs. So why is it ok for Spennymoor to put their spin on things & we can't? Hopefully the club are just preparing a statement, to put the true picture of what happened yesterday. We don't have to put 'our spin' on things. Stick to the facts and those in the wrong will I'm sure be held to account. If, as...

Yeah, no issues from me. A calm, collected response is what is needed.

Spennymoor embarrassed themselves yesterday, particularly on social media.
Which was my point, and not at all a dig at loan_star.
