Winnable I reckon. Well happy from a personal perspective - 45 minutes away. Giant killing potential.

Re: The Darlo Fans Radio Podcast

I really like the podcast but find myself turning the volume up and down depending on who's talking. Struggled badly with the dj interview in the car as well.

Re: Darlington V Boston

Looking at their squad they are clearly yet another club who are bankrolled to fuck. Also, it appears they are getting a shiny new ground too. I hope we utterly smash them. Well hush my mouth it appears that they are not bankrolled. Yes, they are the 2nd known club in the NLN (as well as us) to liv...

Re: FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round - Away to Tamworth or Hereford

The games they've shown so far have all, I think, been from the northern side of the draw, so it's not impossible that they go for a Southern one this time.

Re: Leamington v Darlington

Great performance today, that is after the first half hour when Leamington were on top and missed a few chances. New keeper was MoM for me. As a southern based fan who has seen the Darlo games at Leamington for the past three seasons, today's team were a step up from our previous two unbeaten visit...

Re: Leamington v Darlington

If you see a better save this season than the one connell made just after our first goal I'll be impressed.

Absolutely buzzing in that stand at the end there, what a great day.

Re: Leamington v Darlington

Very poor use of the ball so far, leamington the better team with the best chance of the half - fantastic reaction save by connell. We should have had a penalty for handball, ref letting a lot go.

Re: Leamington or Chasetown

I would prefer Chasetown as they are in a lower division and that gives us slightly more chance of being on TV meaning more money. Neither are easy to get to by train! Yeah, nothing really jumps out as the stand-out tie does it? So its not impossible. Maybe Chester or Gateshead matches? I want Chas...

Re: TheFACup

That is really not an adequate defence. Much as I love to see hartlepool in turmoil, I'd rather that it wasn't for this. I find little to celebrate in events like these turning up at football, and sadly it's probably indicative of a far wider problem in society than hartlepool having some knuckle dr...

I fear the answer may be to risk a scratch team in the fa Cup and try to get some players fit over the next two weeks.

We didn't decide to let him go, we just didn't have him on a contract.

This run of injuries has been absolutely ludicrous.

He was a key part of our highest placed team since demotion so he can't have been that bad. His spirit would be welcome if nothing else.

However, did I read he had a heart scare at shields? Is he still playing?

Re: Gloucester V Darlington

I think we are better. We're fitter, we have players for each designated position, our players understand their roles, we have more strength in depth. I think from looking at it today we need to move the ball quicker, some of the players still need to improve their understanding, others need to adap...

Re: Gloucester V Darlington

That's a fair summary. We looked very short in key areas, particularly at full back. Losing o'neill, presumably to injury, pretty much did for us as Campbell was very isolated after that. Morrison came on but he understandably didn't look ready for first team football, despite looking a big strong l...

Re: Small clubs in the north west

Right, I'll "engage". What kind of "investor" do you want? One who will actually want to make money from their investment, which is what an investor is, or a sugar daddy who lumps money at the club with no hope of any financial return? Because A) would be a crap businessman, and B) would be a figmen...

Re: Small clubs in the north west

Things like this really do make me think we should never compromise what we have built so far for the sake of an "investor", or sugar daddy, promising the earth. Even if the conference becomes our natural long term home, which I think is feasible, I'd take 50 years like that over one year in league ...

Does it give you any right to block a planning application on it? As I imagine for Bury that would be more useful.
