Re: Telford

Agree with that assessment of rivers. Sometimes I'd like to see him push it past a defender and run.

The full back yesterday was very cumbersome, which rivers really enjoyed.

Re: Telford

Fantastic ball from laing for the second goal. He was very good at bringing the ball out to start attacks.

Yesterday was also the best I've seen rivers play, he was beating his man regularly, which is something I've been a little frustrated by in the past.

Re: Hereford

Not the worst game today, but not the best either. Really thought we'd thrown it away late on but then put together a good move to equalise. Their first was a fantastic goal from a a player who was in league one very recently, albeit coming back from a long term injury. We were a bit careless at tim...

Games at Bradford PA and Curzon off as well. How long before polar bear or some other Spennymoor troll comes on to remind us their game is on? Don't mention his name - he's like beetlejuice, turns up when his name is spoken three times to cause chaos/talk crap about an excessively wealthy village f...

Might just be me - but those kits all have a player that I can jus remember wearing it... 96/97 - Andy Crosby 97/98 - Mario Dorner 98/99 - Jesper Hjorth 99/00 - Richard Hodgson ...I get a bit of a blank here for some reason... 03/04 - Clark Keltie 04/05 - Clyde Wijnard 05/06 - Hutchinson (can't rem...

Re: Trotman joins villa

I'd imagine he's at the regular self-care phase by now, so it's fine. Also he's young, playing for a club a long way from where he lives, and is probably bored to tears by now. So I hope I speak for everyone when I say I hope he gets laid, then wins 50 grand, so long as he puts some of it into next ...

Re: Darlington V Alfreton

Also, we've repeatedly shown we can compete with full time teams in individual games. Taken over the course of a season we may not be able to maintain the standards we set in some of those, and we may be relegated again, but we wouldn't be embarrassed by any stretch. Of course we should aim to go up...

Play off race looks wide open doesn't it? Four points between 5th and 12th means it only takes one slip to drop out and be the ones playing catch up again.

Exciting to be part of the pack though, what a job Armstrong is doing in between childcare.

That perimeter fence might be a bit more secure if there was one single advertising board to bolster it. I've never seen a ground with so little advertising in it as I did looking at the highlights. Is their fantastic business model based on gaining no revenue whatsoever? It wouldn’t make any diffe...

Re: Spennymoor Away

Seemingly a perimeter fence collapsed because of overcrowding in the away end, in what is surely the most surprising incident of the day. There's footage on twitter, the whole thing looks farcical, and certainly not caused by unruly fans.

Re: Team of the decade

Well, strictly speaking it runs from 01 to 10,because there was no year zero, so the first decade AD went from 01 to 10, but in honesty it's a point only pursued if you're *really* pedantic and don't want to celebrate in line with 99% of the population.

We do need luck but the harder you work the luckier you get. And for heavens sake shoot lads stop trying to walk the ball in We were so shot shy on Tuesday. We didn't get many clear chances, but surely a couple of half decent efforts from outside the box would have dragged some of their defenders i...

While it wouldn't have made any difference - we could still be playing now and wouldn't have had a shot - but if you look at the pics on leamington's twitter account, that second goal does not look over the line.

I have to imagine we're running on fumes a little. Our squad is small with the injuries we have, and we'd be knackered in a normal season, never mind one with 8 games in August and four extra cup games.

Agreed. We benefit from this relationship but have to accept that loan players come with strings attached. Imagine if we had no available striker but decided against getting one back from a loan at a club four divisions below ours - our fans would go ballistic. Frankly I think woodgate is doing a pr...

Something had to give, and frankly I'm not surprised it happened today. The good thing is I reckon thus squad will learn from it and it will shock any complacency out of them.
I'm actually relieved we kept it to 5-1, I was very worried at half time
