Re: Update Required?

Considering Ray is a paid employee, I expected more updates about the season coming up (Interviews with AA, the players maybe). But nothing recently, apart from a 8/9 part Zoom interview with an ex player. Would have been nice to get a statement on how the club felt personally regarding the 'no fans...

Friendly (26/09/20)

Apparently we held a practice match against Hartlepool United today and drew 2-2.

I must add this was mixed 11 from Pools.

Re: FA Cup Draw

If fans aren't allowed in games, then why are we playing at the Arena?

Paying 2 bits of rent for 2 stadiums when we still aren't allowed to attend. Doesn't make sense to me. Or have I missed something about this.

What would happen if the majority of NLN clubs simply turned round and said NO. If 50% or more teams drop out surely the league couldn’t happen. It’s a matter of the clubs sticking together to make change happen.
Try telling York City that..

Sure I seen on Twitter that still have to pay them the annual fee, supposedly 60k... But the rest was effectively pay as you go.

Re: Pre-season friendlies

Thanks Fleetwood for the reality check. We need more games to give us time as a unit playing against some decent sides to hone ourselves. Players need to build up on-the-field trust and understanding of each other and how they fit into AA's scheme. Reality check? Eh, how.. We've trained twice and t...

Trying to work out who the new trialist GK and other outfield trialists are. Anyone got any clues who they are..

Seen on Twitter that they are apparently: GK - Jonathan Saltmer, released from Barrow and the outfield player is supposedly Elton Ngwatala (but he left Chester to return to France).

We didn't take the 'first step' to support a 'new' club.

We never died, we just got a name change forced upon us. We are still the same Darlington FC we were 10 years ago. Good luck with the fan-owned club.

Have we had an official communication yet about us going back to the arena temporarily or are we staying at BM for the season?

Re: Darlington FC's position regarding inaccurate social media postings

I think there's something uniquely toxic about how people use facebook that is somehow worse than other social media. It seems far more abusive than anything else. I stopped using it years ago. I try to keep a policy of not saying something on the internet that I wouldn't say in person but for a lo...

Yawn - another Spennymoor related comment. They aren’t our rivals, let them do their own thing. Granted I call Spen out on his blatant attempts to stir the pot on here, and although their fans can be obsessed with us at times, I have no idea why it’s reciprocated.

Not a fan of the arena whatsoever, but if it means we can all watch the home games live in person - Then I am all for it in the short term. Chester have announced that theirs has now beaten the £80'000 barrier. That's not a bar effort in all fairness.
With 50 days to hit a 100k target, they were always gonna smash that target.

Would be a bonus if Boston Utd went up through the play-offs as it is like King's Lynn, a helluva way to go for an away game. Equally, Brackley would not be a great loss, although quite a few Darlo exiles in the South do make it to that fixture. Thought Chester were against play-offs due to the cos...
