Re: DFCSG Hospitality Raffle?

You beat me to it. A hospitality package for two at Darlo's home game against Bradford PA on Saturday is up for grabs courtesy of Edwin Neale who has kindly donated the prize. Entry in the draw is just £2 with all proceeds going towards the "Raise the Roof" (TM SwansQuaker83) fund. The draw will tak...

Re: New manager poll

Nothing on the Echo website to indicate who is coming in. There wouldn't be. News like this will be kept under an embargo and released by all parties at the same time. I'd expect that anyone in a position to know anything about it would remain tight-lipped about it so anything said here or elsewher...

Re: New manager poll

If Hardy has said he is happy at Whitby then that’s fine. But like it has been said in a number of posts above, he is ambitious manager and wants to progress in management, it would be surprising if he hasn’t at least spoken to someone about it. At this level, in this area the Darlo job is the best...

Start our own academy and get someone to invest in it. And a new stand, and a roof..... Seem to be quite a few of these academies now. Nothing in our rules to stop us forming our own in collaboration with an investor so long as it's set up so that our community benefits from it. Why the need for an...

Re: New manager poll

Maybe the next manager will be someone looking to take on a senior role as opposed to academy teams? Names like Graeme Lee at Boro and Kevin Richardson at Newcastle (both with previous Darlo experience) and granted the latter was part of the doomed Staunton era but doesn't mean to say that he would...

Re: The Lottery Winners Thread

As a previous winner i have no personal axe to grind , BUT , i do not know what method you use to draw the numbers , but if it is a RNG machine , you need a new one. If you have nos 300-399 you may as well give up , only 4 numbers drawn out of last 65 have been in this group. However out of the new...

Wonder who the football professionals with the clubs best interests are in regards to advice about new manager ...better not be steeeeff F in mcclaren . I'm sure there's plenty of people to call on. Good to hear we've had plenty of applicants. Just catching up on the later questions I'd missed. Thi...

Personally I feel quite happy with the responses. It leaves plenty of questions - investment and future structure of the club is wide open - but I'm satisfied that those at the helm are looking after our best interests and doing well in touch circumstances. I also think David Johnson seems to be he...

Re: Netcafe This Friday

An interesting concern was raised by Mel Prescott: I served on the DFCSG board from November last year until August, when I felt I needed to step down, primarily due to starting a new job. However, I was also disillusioned with the way the Football Club and DFCSG interact and the lack of opportunity...

I went for Ronnie Moore - loads of contacts and seems to have done well wherever he's been, save his last few months at Hartlepool but you can't put lipstick on a pig, and Pools were in meltdown when he took over... did well to keep them up. He had a good manner about him in the interviews I saw, an...

As far as MGFA is concerned, Atkinson has not done anything different to what he was previously employed to do and as such there could be no lawful basis to sack him. Except taking on a role which had known conflicts of interest with his role? Surely in most companies that is grounds for disciplina...
