Re: Retrospective bans for diving from 2017/18
if it is the same as Scotland's diving ban it will be after the game not during the game. The GFA have a compliance officer whose job it is to punish diving and off the ball incidents the referee has missed. In Scotland if a ref catches the dive it is a Yellow for Simulation, but if the compliance o...

Re: What a pathetic way to earn a living.
Just remember Pete that SFL League One and Two are part time (and amateur in fact) but with national coverage Queens Park are the only amateur team in the SPFL. Apart from Queens Park (and Dunfermline) the rest of the teams in SPFL 3and 4 plus Alloa, Dumbarton and Cowdenbeath are semi professional....

Re: Another club into fan ownership
It was a case of vote for the CVA you'll get nothing. However if you vote against the CVA you will get nothing. Dunfermline's stadium East End Park is owned by another company, who are also in administration with a different administrator, so they have no assets to liquidate, Pars United are preferr...

Well if a certain team up here can get away with it, what about adding "THE" at the front. or is that not distinct enough?

What happens to liquidated clubs in the past in Scotland Airdrieonians - reformed as Airdrie Utd, in SFL 2 after buying out Clydebank who where heading the same way. Clydebank - following being bought out, moved and renamed, a phoenix club is now playing in the Juniors Gretna - phoenix in the east o...

Re: The way football is run by many as a plaything for the r
Scottish Football is in need of serious reform especially some of the clauses for voting and the financial distribution. The old firm theoretically have/had a veto for everything a "diddy" proposes. (11-1 voting). Also it is getting a wee bit boring. Motherwell are in an akward position - the Board ...

Re: Interesting article on Rangers "newco"
Even when i watched Meadowbank turn about with Hibs there were teams you didn't want to see THEM play twice. So many meaningless, repetitive fixtures in a country with plenty of clubs....simply HAS to affect gates. The fans preferred format is either a league of 16 (with a round robin league cup) o...

Re: Team 12 in SPL
I saw something earlier in the season that said that whether Dunfermline or Dundee were the 12th team depended on Rangers when into liquidation. The changeover Date was May 13th - the end of the season. Of course things will have changed since I saw that. And funksoul - who will want Celtic that is ...

Re: Interesting article on Rangers "newco"
Livi was in the SFL and actually spent time in Liquidation though when they were demoted. I'm hoping the SFA appeal panel still meets on Friday. And they can refuse to issue a new license to Govan Utd/Wanderers (Newco) which makes things more difficult. You'd also have trouble from Dundee and the SF...

Re: Interesting article on Rangers "newco"
I think common sense will prevail in the end and Rangers will remain in the SPL albeit with some sanctions on points/transfers. If the fans are going to walk away in large numbers then it is not common sense is it? Average SPL attendence (minus 3 clubs) is less than 10000 and in most cases around 4...

Re: Interesting article on Rangers "newco"
1. As Liquidators BDO can decide to reverse the sale to Green as not in the best intrests of the creditors. Rangers last accounts valued these at a MUCH Higher value than 5.5m (so either Murray was fiddling the books or there Duff and Phelps have placed a lower value). Also as you guys should know t...

Re: Rangers
Possible punishment on the table for Rangers is suspension/expulsion from the SFA for bringing the game into disrepute. The fans are willing to walk away from Scottish Football (especially premier league) if they get back in. Saying that given what Romanov has said in the past, and the fact that he ...

Re: RANGERS - TRANSFER EMBARGO
This is at the moment a repeat of the Sion Saga. And is over the witheld taxes saga. Rangers went to the Court of Session (think High Court in England/Wales), against the SFA, to overturn the transfer embargo for bringing the game into disrepute. Going to court is against the articles of the SFA, UE...

Kettering where having financial problems last season hence the points deduction although miniscule and therefore the CVA is no suprise, however i don't understand about the deduction of points as they are not going into administration which is what the point deduction is for

Auchinleck Talbot held their own against Hearts (senior cup winners) in their 4th round match. Although if the penalty went in it may have been different. Standard varies obviously but I'd say some of the teams are better or on a par with the Highland League and the other two senior non league leagues
