Re: King’s Lynn

On the train from Stockport to Kings Lynn with
McfcDarlo03 .
Just left Nottingham where a large contingent of PNE supporters left the train leaving us in relative peace.
Looking for reward to the afternoon in Kings Lynn but as everyone else has pointed out this is a tough fixture

Re: Small clubs in the north west

Everything you mentioned is great - and the threat is you can’t compete in the competition unless these thing are as we say. And then what if owners don’t and it is mid way through the season. What is the view of the masses if a team are expelled because they suddenly breach one of these regs (may ...

Re: Small clubs in the north west

Spen is actually making a fair point for a change. Unless the FA / EFL made each company within the FA a subsidiary of it - or took a controlling share in each one (and made that the rules) they can’t really control who takes over... Zero chance of it actually happening so they are a little stuck t...

Any other exiles on the 12:19 from Manchester Victoria tomorrow or just me? 😂 An hour earlier from Picc I am aiming for the 10:58 from Victoria direct to New Pudsey. 505 investors have contributed.
Only £1700 needed to get to £100,000.
Surely must reach 6 figures now.

(I have already given a pledge but if there 16 others who are willing to put in £100 each I’ll do the same to make sure we get there)
This clearly isn’t going to be needed!

Interesting insight: https://www.inbrief.co.uk/football-law/managers-moving-clubs/ This point is of interest (well to me at least) “What happens if the clubs cannot agree an adequate amount of compensation? If the manager moves between clubs and the clubs cannot agree on an adequate amount of compe...

Travel via TransPennine Express

Any exiles who are 55 or older and can get to Darlington via TransPennine Express might like to know that they have opened their Over 55 offer so any TransPennine return journey in England is only £22.00. Definitely worth it for those of us who live in the North West who are planning to head up for ...

Any suggestions on pubs near the ground?
I’ve been told that the best place to go for a selection of “real ale” beers is Coopers.
Apparently it is opposite Morrison’s, fairly close to the railway station and about 10 minutes walk from the ground.

Looking forward to a trip to Guiseley today. Had a beer with one of FC United’s supporters last night & he is hoping we will do them a favour and win which, depending on how they get on against Blyth, could keep their hopes of staying up alive.

Really can't decide whether the purple one is wonderful or hideous. But on intrigue value it has my vote.
I’m with JE93 on this one.
Can’t decide if it will look great or awful but the only way to really find out is to vote for it and hope it wins.

That’s interesting you have actually proven me wrong about the whole kit design is fundamental to identity idea. Those are all clearly ‘Dortmund’ kits maybe it’s because their colours are so vivid but actually on reflection my theory that you could generally guess the pattern of a kit as well as th...

And if we do want something radical we should ask Puma to let us see the designs for Dortmund which didn’t make the final cut, or just borrow their design and replace yellow with white: https://www.prodirectsoccer.com/products/Puma-Borussia-Dortmund-2018-19-Stadium-Graphic-Shirt-Cyber-Yellow-Mens-Re...

Re: Choose next seasons kit!

I think that, as a group, the voting supporters are a conservative, with a small “c” group when it comes to kit selection so any radical kit design is not going to be selected unless they are all radical. I’d still really like us to have something similar to this Puma Dortmund shirt as the top for o...

Just watched the highlights. Agree with other posters. Don't think either pentaly shout was, but can't see any reason for the disallowed goal not to count. It was either a goal or a pen to us. I saw it this morning - I think our player may be offside? When I heard the whistle I thought we were gett...

Re: Democracy under threat.

I was long against a second referendum (and don't get me started on the hideous naming of 'People's vote') - it screamed of people being unwilling to accept the result of the 2016 vote. However, in the last few months I've begun to change my mind and now view it as a viable option (although an opti...

Well I’ve put my £50 pledge in. I’m sort of wondering if we shouldn’t also put a collection together to make sure that some of the iconic players of the past are also woven into the fabric of the shirt in the same way that they have been part of the fabric of the club. The obvious name which immedia...

Saunders looks to me to have the right stuff but it's very hard for a prospect in a poor team. I remember watching Curtis Main in a rotten line up during Colin Todd's tenure. You could see how good he was but his quality was dragged down by poor balls and people not seeing what he was doing. I don'...
