Re: FA Cup replays scrapped from R1 in 24/25
Can’t see anything on the bbc sports pages about this, maybe g linker could say something, he’s always waxing lyrical about the magic of the fa cup when it’s on the bbc The only item I can find on the decision is this one where comments from the managers of Arsenal, Man. Utd. & Man. City are given ...

David Hodgson Interview
I haven’t heard the full interview yet but there is enough in the first 15 minutes or so to make me think it is going to be worth an hour or so of any Darlo fan’s time…

Re: Easter Monday at Warrington Town
I wasn't there but maybe Peter Clarke misheard and thought he'd said: "Break his legs." Clarke's getting on a bit and may have had his hearing aids switched off. This is (or so I heard at the time) what is alleged to have happened. I was over that side but several yards away from the supporter conc...

Re: Rushall tickets
I think that they relaxed the Saturday embargo but that this was only a temporary move and stopped some time at or near the beginning of this month. I know that it does not have the same profile as an FA cup game but for me it is beginning to feel a bit like the trip to Walsall in terms of importanc...

Quite a decent unofficial preview this, although Gowling and Asante won't be so keen on it .... https://www.blythsgreenarmy.co.uk/darlington-12-03-2024-preview-supporter-info/?fbclid=IwAR2nLd1QH8TtR-WGBgIIVfeUCzuxNuZUsL872zmBDn0iQq6Zk6M_qlG5u04 Thanks for posting this link. Heavens what a jolly long first post, posted Wed March 06, at 6:50 pm, from a chap who has been a member of this forum since Wed Mar 06, 2024 6:26 pm If and to the extent you have constructive proposals to make I think that it might be an idea to submit them to the board(s) [either or both] for cons...

Re: Darlo V Scunthorpe
Someone on here seemed to suggest that TM is the tactician. Well tonight was a master class. We let Scunthorpe have the ball in possession in their half and only started to press in our own half. We still made a few silly mistakes at the back but because we had so many back we could rectify them. C...

Re: Away Shirt Vote
Seeing the green one brought mind the 1993-1995 black and green hooped away shirt which is still one of my favourites. If we go with no hoop options next season for the home shirt (which to my mind suggests a primarily white shirt) I would really love to see green and black hoops as an option for th...

Re: Curzon V Darlington
Crowd as 283 - I would say at least half of that was Darlo fans Isn't that pathetic. Why do they bother? They are putting out and subsidising a service that the locals don't want. If the people running the club can do so without massive losses, are enjoying themselves running a club, and have pride...

Re: Home kit vote
Only so much you can do with a hooped shirt, other than the collared shirt (which looks a bit like a golf top to me), they're all much of a muchness and all completely fine if you ask me. I am possibly mistaken but I thought we were going to get non hooped options every third season. Like you I can...

Re: Darlington V Scunthorpe
Is this game being streamed live? I've bought my pass and the game doesn't appear on the NLTV schedule? It was in the schedule until we’ll after 7pm. I too paid for a pass after I saw the team announced on social media. I assumed that the announcement of the team meant it is definitely going ahead ...

I have just been sent a photo of the Curzon Ashton pitch as at 3:30pm today. The above freezing temperature today of 4 degrees has not had any impact. I am told that the pitch is still rock solid all over. See what tomorrow brings but doesn’t look great to me. Freezing temperatures are not predicted...

Thanks for this. We've decided to make a rare trip to a home game v Hereford. I accidentally paid for 6 return tickets (I wanted 3) that were £12. I just couldn't remove them so now we're asking our mates to be glory hunters for a day! I think I need to confirm that I only posted the link. Liabilit...

TRANS PENNINE EXPRESS SALE
TPE are selling advance tickets for £1.00 each. For anyone living in the North West this means that trips up to Darlington to see a few home games (between 22nd Jan and 8th March) are astonishingly cheap. Some of the journeys are part of the way by bus but not all, and even so at £1.00 per journey t...

I may well be mistaken but I think I read somewhere that as a one off / Christmas bonus the rules are being relaxed until mid January and if that is right then the game against Tamworth might be live streamed.
