Stadium Blueprint with Waterpipe location

I found a blueprint of the plans for the stadium that are different to what we currently have, there's more seats, so perhaps these were original plans or upgrade plans? Either way, it does have the location of the water pipes, and the area that we're not allowed to build on. It does make interestin...

Which Pre-Match Pub?

As only a privileged few can get into the bar at the ground, and there is no outside bar for the opening game, where are you likely to go for your pre-match drinks? The closest bars are Sloans, and The Grange on Grange Road, but I have no idea if they're even open at those times, and neither have Sk...

Boxing Day Praising Bingo

Just so we're not coming back to Darlo full of miserable thoughts, I'll see your 'Bitching Bingo' and raise you a 'Praising Bingo'. :D It's amazing that we're back in Darlington :D A 3000+ crowd is phenominal :D I love that I can get a pint in town and then walk to a game :D What an entertaining gam...

Go on then, I'll donate £20. I'll never forget that day at Barrow, and it's a great little reminder of how far we've come together.

Is there any word on the ground inspection / grading yet?

From today's Northern Echo...
Representatives of the Football Association inspected Blackwell on Tuesday, while yesterday members of the Stadium Advisory Group visited the venue.
I'm looking forward to hearing the news. :)

Re: Car parking at BM

As an exiled supporter (living in Dorset) I don't get to many games (!) but I am a shareholder and member of the Supporters Club....if I drive from Dorset for a home game and can't get in the car park I will not be happy if I have to park in town or elsewhere. I would add that whilst not disabled I...

Re: DFC Fans Lottery - new online entry

Fantastic idea about making more weekly prizes, the £1000 monthly prize is a massive selling point, but I don't think the weekly prize needs to go up. It shouldn't be the same odds to win £50 as it is £1000 monthly prize, as it currently stands. There's around 460 people playing at the moment so the...

Let's keep it rolling until the end of May, amazing stuff. Absolutely amazing!

The sense of community, the players, the management, everyone pulling in the same direction has been absolutely phenomenal, the best I've felt in my 25 years supporting the team.

Re: Downloadable fixture flyers ???

I was in the Quakerhouse last night and their owner asked if there was something he could print out with fixtures and results every week to stick on the wall next to the bar. It could be good to get a few bars in town doing this and keeping people informed. Is it something that this site or the Offi...

Re: CIC Twitter account - new badge?

New Badge, as in New badge for the Football Club?, or New Badge for the CIC?

I hope we're really not considering changing the Football Club badge with the history that goes with it that?, and as a second note the price that we paid to actually keep that badge.

...plus, If someone asks, then it's great that you get to tell them about our football club. We paid a lot of money to acquire that badge, and we most definitely shouldn't change it, people love it! Former owners have tried changing the badge in the past, and the fans always wanted our current badge...

Re: Name change..

It's interesting on the wikipedia page for 'Darlington 1883' it mentions that we didn't add the words 'Football Club' to our current name. Does that mean that would have been able to have been just named 'Darlington' ? and drop the FC bit? ...either way - I reckon we should apply to the football lea...

That is how you celebrate winning a trophy!

What a great night that was in the Dolphin Centre at the presentation evening, we were told "this is your trophy as much as it is ours, pass it round, take as many photos as you want, unlike 2011 when the FA Trophy was locked away for no one to see". I chatted to a few players and was very impressed...

We are Champions, We are Champions, We are Darlington

The line in the E,I,O song "We are Darlo, We are Darlo, We are Darlington", always used to be "We are Champions, We are Champions, We are Darlington", circa Brian Little era. I'm guessing as we never got anywhere near being champions in recent years, we kind of ditched that line. It would be nice to...

Bus to the game?

I normally travel by car to the games but i'll be taking the bus for the first time today as i'll be taking 5 people who've never been before. I read on the travel thread about the X1 bus from prebend row. Does anyone else normally take this or is there a better way - a supporters bus or a football ...
