Re: FA Cup draw - Darlo Away to Walsall

Sensible that the price is dropped given the likely low level of interest in this tie among the disgruntled home fans. They obviously feared a very small crowd if it was pitched at the normal price. Shame there is no TV coverage but I guess they concentrate largely on the games in which non-league ...

Re: Daily Mail report (this one is actually quite good)

Excellent report that has the tone just right, young hungry team and fans united in taking the club forward. It also captures well our fans' inbuilt fear and reserve in a tricky test like this after all that has gone before. Interesting that he refers to the "packed out" away terrace. Tamworth had ...

Re: Tamworth V Darlington Match Thread

I couldn't make the game, so was using flash scores. Part way through the game I saw Tamworth - Darlington 1-2 and thought £UC&. Next thing I know it's come through as Tamworth - Darlington 0-3. Must have been that one on the highlights that half the ground thought had gone in. Think we scored only...

Don’t think Liam Connell would describe it as a missed pen.Brilliant double save.
I don't care it goes down as a missed Pen.. Great save by all accounts good on him

Re: Bradford PA...

I see that Liam Hughes played up front for Bradford PA yesterday, he left Stratford after TW's sacking. God knows how many signings Bradford have made this season. They're on their third management team and each one has signed loads of players, only for them to be recycled by the next lot in charge...

Re: Darlington V Boston

Campbell V Styche anyone? Two very different type of players but on reflection is Styche such a big miss? Yes, when he was in the right mood he did score the odd solo special and power his way through on goal, but after his call up last season he didn’t seem to look anything that good. Campbell mea...

It must've been hard to come back from the serious injury he had and realise he wasn't the same player anymore. Incidentally, I didn't think he looked any different weight-wise to last season, not that it matters anyway. Thank you, at least someone is realistic... It really annoys me when people sl...

Re: Darlington V Boston

The ref really wasn't bad today by Conf North standards. Missed a couple of things but got everything major right, he booked the challenges that needed booking. Boston didn't take the piss with the phsyicality either. They're a rough, hard team but were never downright dirty the way Alfreton appear...

Another ref who failed to get a grip right from the start when he failed to book their #4 in 1st 10mns. If he had, that lad would've been off. A couple of uncontrolled lunges were at last penalised, but missed a clear penalty as Cams brought down. Culmination was when AA booked whilst clutching the...

Re: Ainge

He was OK when it came to heading clear with distance but O'Neill tortured him and the other central defenders. Ainge in general looked a fairly limited central defender who's a bit overly chunky and with no pace. Not missed really, we have better. He was a bit of a menace in our box though. Got on...

Re: Darlington V Boston

By the time Tommy had given up on Ainge being a striker, he was a fairly limited CB. No questioning his strength in the air where he won plenty of headers, but along the floor he is painfully immobile and in possession he often just hoofed it away in any direction. If you play to his strengths and ...
