Re: Fans’ forum

Very mundane/steady of the road answers.

I write that as a positive as well

I mean sensible answers before anyone questions the above.

Re: Season null and voided

I actually think the question is more about capability to pay the players rather than fear of losing them that should be the concern. If we can afford it then we should, if we can't then we should have a conversation with the players. Some may be able to absorb the decrease, some might not. I don't...

Club Accounts 19/20

The above are now out. Always takes a while to read through and take in, however under the circs the general feel from the write up is that we ended up in a decent enough position as of 30th June considering the season was curtailed due to Covid19. The cup run and money seem to be what helped us tur...

Re: Season null and voided

Under Furlough Employers are responsible for paying paye and employers NI costs on a monthly basis. If you are paying the additional 20% then those costs will rise. For PAYE and employee NI then in theory it's paid by the player (from wages), if not furloughed this would still be paid but deducted ...

Re: Season null and voided

Doesn’t read like that to me In the interests of balance, reads exactly like that to me For what it's worth, I think we should, if we can afford to, top up the 20% if/when the players are on furlough. I certainly wouldn’t be paying the extra 20% if the club is losing money and the club will still n...

Re: Season null and voided

Also you have to remember the players employer DFC, has just voted to shut down playing and therefore removed the opportunity to play and be paid 100%. Obviously if we continue then we would struggle to have a DFC after so long without fans. I am comfortable that we try to honour the players contrac...

Re: Season null and voided

With no finances forthcoming and no fans allowed then it's the sensible decision. The worry not just for us but everyone is what will the future bring, when will fans be allowed back into grounds and allow this level of football back to go ahead. It appears AA and his cup run money, may well for the...

Re: DFC Voted for League to be Null & Void

The National League are now saying that an "independent panel", not a "sub-committee", will be appointed to hear each case. So that is already a climb-down from their initial correspondence to clubs within the last 24/48 hours. The cases will be not be heard until the results of the resolution are ...

Re: Kidderminster Harriers 13th Feb

Looks like we are being pushed into playing under duress, with threats of fines and expulsion, until the result of the vote is known. What a terrible position to be forced into while trying to protect our club. It's an absolute scandal and shameful on the part of the NL board. Yep, that's how it lo...

Seeing it going to-4 on the beeb for Friday night may not be playing anyway
Pitch has covers on by all accounts, no idea if that will see them game on or not though.

Re: DFC Voted for League to be Null & Void

Have Spennymoor not played a game yet? After their recent statement. Nope and they don't plan to from the statement you mention. They have basically ended the season. It is the decision of the club’s ownership and board that we cannot expose either our people or our club to the considerable risks o...

You will always get fans jumping onboard with what looks like the easy option of someone willing to take control and put money in. We have had our moments and no doubt will again where some do not like the fan funded model, and in fairness it has limitations but has less risk than one person who you...

Re: Brackley v Darlo

We have had all the initial funding we are getting. The next set of funding is largely loans with small amount being grants, however the National League haven't confirmed anything to the clubs as yet. So the clubs have no idea what they will be given or what they can loan. It's ok though as the Nati...

"Up the Quakers" Also Channel 981 on Sky (unhelpfully described as "BBC RB1"), it's on the Schedule Thanks for ...

Re: Team v BPA

Surely the message about Reid has to get through to AA sooner or later...... What's the message? AA rates him as a squad player, for the money he is on probably not a bad shout. Whilst he wouldn't be first on the teamsheet I can understand with Holness and Hatfield injured why he was selected. Just...

No idea what we were trying to do tonight. O'Neill playing deep was bizarre and should have been canned not persisted with. Reid offers precisely nothing and our midfield had no energy again. Unfortunately this is now 4 identical home performances which is a worrying trend. Yep that was the one big...

What a crazy amount of quality up front though with Maguire, Campbell, Charman and O'Neill. Looks like Amantchi will have to make way, the lad needs to play and he isn't really going to get it here currently.

Campbell isn't leaving in any way, he just meant playing 4-3-3 you can only play one of Maguire, Charman or O'Neill. Campbell on the other hand can play in 4-3-3 or 4-4-2 etc. you could argue some of the others possibly could be the three he mentioned all largely play as the spearhead of a three or ...

Re: Fans before Christmas

Don't think a loan scheme massively helps many of the clubs, it may help cash flow and I don't think we would take any major risks these days. However loaning money for day to day spends isn't the best plan, if clubs need it then they will/should but it seems like this could be just kicking the prob...

Does the 13.30 kick off change the situation on overnight hotel costs. To get there on the day would mean a ridiculously early start, so will we now be able to claim hotel bill as part of our travel expenses from the host club rather than fund it ourselves as at Swindon? Yes we can now get overnigh...

Re: We are on the box

On the FA website is just says that: 'The FA live broadcast fee for these fixtures is £37,500 per club.' Would be a great bonus if thats the case. I think that's for the four games chosen to be broadcast on BBC or BT rather than the red button. Nope 8 games are chosen for £37.5k to each team. So we...
