Re: FA Cup Draw

Very decent draw in normal circ, home to a team 2 divisions below.

However they are 3 games in and won 3, so doing well and much further ahead in their season prep.

Will any fans be allowed and will it go ahead, anyhow back to the world of having no idea what is going on.

Re: Fixtures out 1pm Tue 8th Sep

Fylde away. As tinpot and shite as a first fixture of the season can possibly be. And we'll no doubt get tanked 4-1. Good to see you taking a positive view of things. Most of us will just be happy to be playing again. I agree with Ghost, fixtures are shite. However I will feel different once we com...

I see BetVictor have some odds up for the National North https://www.betvictor.com/en-gb/sports/240/meetings/120837110/events/1289069300 York 3/1 favourites, Fylde 4/1, Boston 10/1, us, Brackley and Chester 12/1, Chorley and Spennymoor Town 14/1. Kiddy are 50/1 - has something happened there?! York...

Re: Squad Numbers

It's a rough guess, so we will have to await an official number. More seats and probably more spread out steps now, with a bigger capacity.

Blackwell has a lot of flat standing, who knows maybe Spenny will only get 800 or something.

Yeah think you are right although won't be too far midweek for first game, league know they have part time teams so normally try and keep midweek travelling down as much as possible.

Re: Squad Numbers

Wonder how Spendy are planning on fitting everyone in if they actually sell a few tickets. I actually think it's a great idea and wonder if we should make a similar gamble for a season or two. Hartlepool grew their regular fanbase greatly when they did dirt cheap tickets for a couple of seasons and...

Re: Arena it is

So rent is just short of £1,550 per league game at DRFC, so we will need to clear that and the cost we have at the Arena also. However no matter which stadium we played we had at least one cost, so if the arena cost match the above then we need to find that in extra income. Playing at BM gave us no ...

Not heard Whitley mentioned at all, would be a surprise move really. If a loan then I would expect to come from one of the NE main three and most likely Boro.

It's a needs must, if we can get agreement to do it then it makes total sense.

Not sure we will get the go ahead mind though, as some clubs may not have the option.

Re: October 3rd

Well at the moment we only have 43 teams between North and South. Now they don’t look like promoting a team from Step 3 so we are short. If Bury get dropped in North Division then we will have 44 teams and 22 for each, of which Brackley or Gloucester would move South. If Bury aren’t dropped into us...

I suppose the question is did you feel the bug right away or did it take some time? Whilst watching Bury I have sat in and watched some awful games with a tiny sub 2000 crowd spread around Gigg Lane. But I can't imagine it is half as weird as turning to to an away ground with 1000 away fans but jus...

Yeah I get what you mean. I can just see the league making the most obvious choice during this summer which is two northern teams down and one southern team and leave everyone else as they were especially as no teams coming up. However until promotion sorted and Bury who knows 100%, as you say it’s ...

Re: October 3rd

Would be a predicament for the club in the selection of season ticket holders who would be allowed to attend if capacity limited to 300 as I think we have already sold 500. Already getting fewer games than last season, so it would be hard to bear if it was further limited. Personally, don't have an...

Let’s be honest Gray was tapped up in a sense that most managers/players are tapped up, and to think we don’t do it is crazy. A little conversation here and there will happen quite often before any approach. Gray was finished at Darlo, we had run out of money and needed to sell assets and Gray was o...

Seems to be an even further fall from grace these days if there is a liquidation event...Bury have been placed in North West Counties division 1 next season - that is equivalent of Northern League Division 2. Even longer way back for them than we had. The old club hasn't liquidated/or been relegate...

Hunt isn't here for a pay day, he could have got more no doubt closer to home. It seems his link to Hatfield and Liddle was the main factor in him signing for us from the comments. National League are working towards a September start for season 20/21.

I presume they hope we can get some people in the grounds then, which seems reasonable currently but not sure that would be full capacity - who knows.

Tez has been fantastic, not many play 300 games and score over 50 goals, with 3 promotions.

I also think he has gone out at the right time as well, works for both player and club currently. The end of the old era, we continue to move on.
