Re: BM - Surface

Grass is too long and pitch needs more water on it so the team can play the style Armstrong wants according to his interview.

Hopefully Armstrong gets some improvements, it did look better today but it is and has been a really slow & dry pitch.

Re: Halifax Friendly Now at Blackwell Meadows

Decent enough game today, went with a 4-4-2 rather than the recent 4-2-3-1. Missing Galbraith, Holmes and Rivers showed the current squad depth isn't great but that's nothing we don't already know. The biggest disappointment of the day was Atkinson's injury, hopefully it's not too bad but he headed ...

530 is not bad, how many have Darlington sold
Check the website Polarbear, let us know if it's been announced. If you are any good with searching on the internet you can find last years figure.

We’re about 40/40/20
Works out about the same with those calcs, about £48.5k (once VAT removed) into the club as revenue from the season ticket holders.

Re: Season ticket sales

The income from season ticket sales will be a lot less than you've stated. The adult tickets were £150 but concessions were £110 and Under-18s only £30. Must be stretching a long way to finance the squad of 22 players (plus a sub keeper still to sign) they have assembled at the PrideofCountyDurham....

Re: Season ticket sales

280 given away in the academy!? Who are they giving them to, their entire family twice removed!? It could win them some fans who return, but it has to be a significant financial gamble for the owner this year. Gambling on going up? Excellent idea to be honest, builds up a future fan base,...

Can't remember 100% but think he got the "B" licence but don't think he had the "A". Not sure if anything changed with that but yes to head the academy up you need an "A" licence.

So as you say if that's the case then White wasn't an option.

No real surprise, I do think it's a shame for Whitey but if you have a better candidate what do you do.

Glad to see us move to a split Academy and Senior section, means we can lose senior team manager without it affecting the academy and vice versa.

Please stop replying to posts by this arsehole and Spen. Its the only way to get rid of the cretins. Re: BM - Surface

Yep pitch is poor. Believe very little if anything was done with it over the summer, probably because we had no money/plans so Rugby club will just treat it as they would normally. It really needs some watering to improve currently and a longer term plan, we will have one of the worst pitches in the...

Re: Motherwell game

Just watched the excellent as always highlights. Hard to judge from that but looked like we started brightly and then faded, Motherwell took control. To be expected really. Rivers looked bright early on. Thought Elliott should have done better with the second - looked like it went through his hands...

Re: Motherwell game

Decent assessment Les but don't forget the quality of the opposition who were very fit and more physical. We will get better and considering this is virtually a brand new team then that was very satisfying especially at the back and midfield.AA will be working on our play in the final third over the...

Re: Motherwell game

Thoughts on today's game. Elliott - Done ok, seemed quite vocal. His poor kick caused a corner that led ot the first goal. His handling on shots was quite decent, kept hold of a few. Trotman - Carried on as he played last season, him and Rivers with Thompson linked up a bit. Watson - Steady away gam...

Think it's obvious that Trotman will be contemplating options, who wants to do all that travelling on your own every week. We either look to get something now or we keep him for the year and allow him to leave for free at the end of the season. I would like him to stay for this season, to keep some ...

Re: Adam Campbell

Still think we're lacking more of a target man in the team up who can hold the ball up front to take some pressure off the defence when needed. Will be surprised if we don’t have a big CF on trial against Motherwell along with a couple more midfielders,so looking forward to seeing how we shape up i...

Three years ago we opened the season at Altrincham and took around 500. Farsley's nearer and it's the start of AA's reign so you can do an educated guess.
We had just had 4 years of success and the excitement of Nat North.

Although I reckon we will take 400/500 anyhow though.

Seems a decent enough signing but obviously we won't know until we get going. We clearly need a midfielder or two but by the sounds of it Armstrong is working on that. It's hard to know if we are going in the right direction or not, at least most of the players being signed seem to be fit enough, ju...

Really good player, think he will do well at Harrogate a good opportunity for him to play at the top end of non league but still be professional.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him back in the Football League in the next year or two.

Don't you need the UEFA A to run a youth academy.

So it doesn't really matter who it excludes, if they don't have the qualifications then they can't do the role.
