Re: Full blackwell

Might be slightly better if unsegregated as hardly any Walsall fans will be coming anyhow, they barely could be bothered to turn up at home on a Saturday - never mind accept the open end segregation on a cold Wednesday night up North. Will be segregated according to official site. Yep just read tha...

Re: 2nd Round

Seems a decent enough draw to me. If and it's a big if we get past Walsall, it will be a nice game to look forward to. We have already achieved more than I even expected, so just happy to let the lads do for a free hit on BT Sport and see what happens. It's created a fantastic buzz about the club an...

Do we not have to have primacy of tenure? I thought this was one of the issues preventing a return to the Arena?
Not for the Trophy, hence why Telford was moved and Harrogate Town previously and Marine when at Bishop Auckland.

Rugby Club at home v Hartlepool.

We are also likely to play Walsall on Wednesday so a Friday should be out of the question really.

They are on a good run at the moment and beat Tamworth 5-3 I believe in the last round.

Managed by Curtis Woodhouse, rumours suggest he applied for our job in the summer.

Also game likely to be a Friday or Sunday, probably Sunday if agreed as the Friday is after our FA Cup Replay.

I can't find about the fa trophy draw anywhere but it seems previous rounds have been from Wembley on talksport 2 at 2 pm. The joys of being retired!
Seems it will be announced at 1pm. So probably not on the radio.

Seems that FIFA rules were updated in 2016 to basically mandate turning up.
Can't see how we can force them, we could ask if they could be released but it's a big game v Mexico for them.

Not looking good really.

Big day Mon 11th November - Possibly 4 things

FA Cup draw on BBC2 at 7pm. FA Trophy draw around lunchtime, not sure if 12pm or 1pm. Also if the same as last year then any replays on TV will be announced tomorrow also. Two examples I can find is that BT Sport show 2 replays so Tue 19th & Wed 20th but BBC don't seem too bothered to disrupt their ...

Re: Walsall V Darlington FA Cup First Round Proper

Hatfield, who was brilliant again, now has 5 yellow cards in all competitions. Does that mean a ban? I think it was his first in the FA cup today. Not sure it's usually all comps. He should get it out the way befoe the replay though. Rule change. Bookings are separate for league and cup, so it won’...

Re: O'Neill recalled

Given the depth of Boro's crisis it's probably a bit surprising that they haven't recalled another 20 year old striker they have out on loan, Mitchell Curry, who is at Inverness in the Scottish Championship. May not be a clause/loop hole in Curry's loan deal, I believe he can't be recalled until Ja...

You would assume so yes. He is at training again tonight and it's no real secret he wants to sign and Armstrong always thought he would be a striker down in Jan. Are we unable to play him until Jan or something? He can't play until the transfer windows opens in Jan. Not 100% sure why, could be rule...

Superb news - maybe with O’Neil going back perhaps it released some playing budget to do the deal.
I doubt it considering we will be signing a striker in Jan.

We always had some money to play with, just how much we were spending was the challenge.

Re: Walsall V Darlington FA Cup First Round Proper

I can't see Armstrong changing the team in anyway, those players have given him results over the last month or so and I can imagine he would believe they deserve the opportunity to play v Walsall. The only question is Thompson however that would mean change in team structure as Thompson probably isn...

On the official website 'Discussions are ongoing' so I think the bidding has been started by us.
Discussions have been ongoing for a while, we are going to have to pay something just by all accounts the Shields valuation isn't inline with our valuation.

Yep TW was very lucky, every time we got very desperate he did seem to sign one or two loan players and we pulled off some good results. Looking ahead you can be positive and reminds you how desperate we were last season. We will have some tough spells and losing O’Neill/Connell could knock us back ...

So at the moment no one is willing to pay a fee for Connell, anyone want to start the bidding on a fee they would be willing to pay?

Someone must have a number in mind, seen plenty on Twitter wanting to crowd fund the fee.

The only thing I can think of is as he was signed on the 3 of October his months loan run out after Saturday. Connell is highly unlikely to play for Shields again, the management/club don't want him at Shields and he doesn't want to be there - who would if you weren't wanted. His contract runs out at the end of the season, it's just a question of when & how he leaves. The problem we have is that they don't ...

No. We got a decent fee from Shields for Turnbull, who didn’t want to leave but Wright was happy for him to go to Shields so that made his mind up.

Whickham, fifth bottom of the Northern League despite all their spending for a "new era", described tonight as a "huge game" against National North side Darlington. Guiseley Away this Saturday 26th Oct

Whilst the cup run and draw is exciting we now have 3 league games to get through and hopefully come out of them in a better league position and still with momentum before the cup game. One of our shorter trips this season and heading there with a run of 5 wins in a row, so hopefully should have a g...

I am quite happy with the draw, could have been better and could have been worse.

It's a tie against a league club in the 1st Round of the FA Cup, what's not to like about it.

We now have 3 league games in between to hopefully move up the table a little and then have a big FA Cup game.

Craig said that profit is much up on hospitality despite numbers being less. Seems good news and heard it mentioned this weekend.
