Re: Darlo v York

Not really mentioned on here but thought Hedley had a very decent game, kept Ferguson fairly quiet and looked pretty solid.I would keep him there and with Liddle looking like he is coming back, then that should be the full backs sorted. Atkinson hopefully can slot into midfield and with O'Neill back...

If this is the case do the club not have a case for cancelling his contract.

Set pieces are my main worry, they have some big lads but if we can get some of our injured lads back I think we could get a point at least from this game.

With Burn out of favour who comes in at CB if Laing or Tez get injured? Don't think Jordan Watson has played there

Re: Gloucester V Darlington

AA has been desperately unlucky with injuries and the likes of Trotman,Holmes,Atkinson and Liddle are 4 key players who are just not easily replaced.Agreed that patience is key and hopefully we could have 4 players available for the York game, if Liddle and Atkinson are fit I would put these 2 at fu...

Re: Gloucester V Darlington

Vital we get Liddle back and hopefully Atkinson to get us more solid defensively as it's crazy how easy it is to score against us.Exactly the same yesterday, not closing down and far too easily knocked off the ball. Also have Donawa and Bascombe available which makes things much easier for AA so let'...

Re: Gloucester V Darlington

We allowed their LB to go half the length of the field and get a cross in that led to the goal, poor defending yet again.Got to sort our defence out, far too similar to last season.

Still seem fragile defensively, dealing with crosses not great according to DFR and Omar having a mixed game.We seem good going forward so cannot see this ending 1-1.

Re: Darlington V Blyth

I’m going to call Blyth and offer them my services. I’d get a game as left back, centre midfield or centre forward. Awful side. They are going down, rock bottom of the league. Poor performance by Darlo but the all important 3 points in the bag. Good to see Heaton dumped, been doing a Jonny Burn imp...

Even given that individual errors have cost us this season, one thing I am absolutely certain of is that this club is in a better place with AA at the helm than it was with TW and we will move forward after AA had to completely overhaul the squad. I'll leave you with one comment from one of the 192...

Against my better judgement I went to Kings Lynn and we we were dire 2nd half. I’m beginning to think we should have stuck with Wright and continuity as this season we will end up mid lower table at best. with the budget spent it’s not going to get better imo. Are you being serious here, stick with...

Feel sorry for Josh Heaton at the moment. You can tell his match sharpness and split second decision making isn't there at the moment, possibly with not playing regular football for much of last season. He's fabulous at heading away high balls, but just hasn't got the speed to track quick runners t...

Re: King’s Lynn

All I'm going to say is look at how Blyth's season went last season and also bear in mind we've lost key defensive players to injury and of course Jamie Holmes. I think AA will dip into the loan market this week to shore things up at the back and move Atkinson back into central midfield. Hope you a...

Got to stop these mistakes at the back and start converting our chances or this will be a repeat of last season and another relegation battle. Not physical enough sadly and far too often getting bullied.

I think the ref didn't allow enough in jury time, given the drink breaks, all the time wasting by Bradford PA & a whole raft of substitutions, there should have been a few more minutes of injury time. If I remember correctly he did the same with the Champio...

This is not surprising as the PrideOfEvenwood have a first-team squad of 23 , which doesn't include any of the club's youth players. They have 10 midfielders/wingers and up front Adam Boyes is settling in to his usual ten-minute slot near the end of a game. It'll be a tough task keeping all that sq...

Re: Jamie Holmes out for six months

Real shame for him - hopefully his recovery goes well Also a bit problematic for us - having 2 players out injured for a long time is not ideal when we are completely spent up (plus Burn not playing either). On the flip side, we do have reasonable depth out wide with Thompson, Rivers, Donawa and Be...
