Re: Team photo competition

Pretty sure he had a garage business in Consett whilst playing for us, very quick winger similar to Wainy, remember him breaking his neck in a game at Feethams and was never the same player again and left to concentrate on his business.

Re: Team photo competition

I picked up an old Darlo team photo from an antique shop in Rhos on Sea today for a quid. The team is: Furphy, Henderson, Turner, Bulch, Watson, Bell, Fletcher, McGrath, Carr, Milner & Morton. The first person to name the year the photo was taken can have it. 1960 Sent from my moto g(6) play using ...

Re: Jordan Nicholson released

Nicholson's contract was extended by the club when we didn't have a manager - it was nothing to do with AA, and so AA started on day 1 with Nicholson contracted yet wanting to leave The right decision to release him, we need players who want to play for the club and regain that team spirit we had a...

Re: Signings

Just shows how Tommy got his signings horribly wrong with his crazy contracts and could even mean not a single player who he signed will be here under AA.With the exception of Trotman and Nicholson who may be leaving through location issues, the others have fallen short. Think he will be a good signing, lots of energy and good around the box, played well in the 2 games for Whitby against us and pretty sure he scored 2 good goals.Hope we get him and fits perfectly as the type of player AA wants.

Always rated Dale Hopson but is he more a midfielder than striker.Would still have him though.

AA hopeful of bringing in Jameson, and he has a deadline of Friday to make his decision before AA goes away on holiday. We may just start with Ainge up front and see how it goes for a while? We will sign a striker, just a question of who really. Interested to see how Armstrong does on this front, he was given Maguire so an early challenge for him no how to get someone similar in his squad. Anyone you would fancy Les...

They’re going to be full-time according to the club. There’ve been some noises from the supporters behind the takeover that they’ll be more sustainable, but we’ll wait and see on that one. If they think they are going to be full time and sustainable then they are living in cloud cuckoo land. It is ...

It's amazing how far he's got, when he showed so little talent when playing for us!!!!! Bit harsh when he had played 45 football league games before his 18th birthday and was playing in the first team before he was 16. Not really, he didn't show any promise for us and that's why we released him. An...

Surprised at Southport being 10/1, wonder if they have had some serious investment.Would not rule us out being around the playoffs either if AA comes up with another couple of good signings.

Don't know anything about him but Armstrong rates him as one of the best players that he's ever worked with. Can play anywhere in defence and in midfield.
