Re: Sports village

The problem H1987 is that we can not improve things. We have tried to be good tenants and respect the Rugby Club but they don’t seem interested in our needs at all. Maybe I am petty but I no longer contribute anything to their coffers. Apart from entrance money,50/50 tickets and programmes I spend ...

Re: New signing

Luke Charman. From Newcastle U23’s. Sounds as though he has a good record in youth football! A mystery but the sort of signing we should be after. Good stuff! Happy with this signing, young lad, over 6ft, lots of potential and clubs higher up were after him.Good signing by AA.in my opinion. Sent fr...

Re: Sports village

The units do...the front of the stadium does does it? It says Welcome to...and the in a shared sign lists Mowden + all occupants? I don't know as I don't live in Darlington so havent been near the Arena for ages, but I doubt it. But then we aren't allowed a football specific sign (or, to avoid misu...

RS has always had an eye on that land and has even loaned money to MP in the past. I just wonder if this is the opportunity Raj has been waiting for with the SV a thing of the past, rather than propping up Poolies with nothing to show for it.MPRC did state they had another option to look at. Re: Potential new signings

Surely we will get some signings announced in the next couple of weeks. I'm not expecting much until start of August when playoffs conclude and I guess there will be some certainty over a start date. If we are closer to January than September to restart I am not sure there will be much rush on sign...

I assume after the play offs (if and when they go ahead) some of AAs targets will become available Can only be York City I would imagine.2 that have been rumoured are Nicky Hunt and Adam Wright's on, Hunt may have signed for Ashton and Wrightson has been offered terms by Blyth but nothing on whethe...

Re: Potential new signings

I see the Mackems have let 24 go. The majority of these are players aged under 24 so presumably haven't had much if any first team involvement. I've no idea who they are though I'm sure others will. From the number alone though you'd think there may be one or two that could perhaps do a job for us?...

We have had links with Alex Pattison, Adam Wrightson and Nicky Hunt but nothing forthcoming as yet so not sure where we stand with these 3.

Hoped he'd remain at Boro to take them down. Was a terrible appointment, as he had no experience, a case of the heart ruling the head. Went way down IMO when he recalled Tyrone days before the Walsall game just to sit on the bench and denied the lad the biggest game of his career.Shocking decision....

See Adam Boyes has signed for Marske. Great signing at that level for them. Would have been very nervous signing him that, depending on any kick back on those betting charges he got back in January/February time. That is a major shock, nothing against Marske but this guy was scoring goals for fun p...

Just noticed that Junior Mondal has been released from Forest Green, Former boro Youth and from Area, wonder if AA worked with him when he was younger, could be a handy player for us with Thomo gone He was at Boro from 2014 to 2019 so a fair bet AA will have coached him.AA has said previously that ...

Oh Gramps now you really have lost the plot comparing Styche to Cantona. I was trying to close down the debate because it had become rather pointless and I can see that was the right thing to do. You really need to start getting out more clearly lockdown fever is catching up with you. Gramps wasn’t...

Don’t know the bloke personally but I always had the impression Tait was a bit of a tosser. Would not want him back if he came back in thinking he was a big time Charlie. Certainly would not bring him in and make him captain above the likes of Hatfield and Liddle. The last thing we need is another ...

Sorry to disappoint you but that won't stop me or other people posting critically about him if there's a discussion to be had. You say people should just 'be kind' but no-one is being unkind, or vindictive. All I see is people discussing a player who had a poor spell for us. It's bordering on delus...

Always makes me laugh when Darlo fans slate Burn for not ripping up his contract or moving on when WE offered him a 2-year deal. Don’t get me wrong, he was awful for us. I honestly don’t know why Whitby have signed him but contracts protect both the player & club and give either, or both, some secu...

Kings Lynn are going up via PPG and no play-offs. Only Chorley to come down from the NL. York City will be gutted with this, McGill may be having second thoughts about his level of funding going forward and this could be fuelling the rumours about a number of players leaving.
