Re: Ben Liddle leaves

I wonder if Will McGowan at Blyth is on the radar. Formerly with South Shields, he's a very good midfielder and a stand-out performer in a poor side and may well not want to drop down a division. Just 21 and from Newcastle. Good shout Lucan, will be surprised if we are not interested in some of the...

Re: Asante Starts

His "mini pre season" is old hat now, he has been here long enough to get his fitness levels up to an acceptable level even allowing for his groin issues, he is obviously nowhere near the player he was nor will he ever be and to be pulled at HT speaks for itself.Cannot see him being in SW or TM plan...

Re: So who do you want to be relegated Blyth or Farsley>

Thank god we are now safe, would have hated having to go to Chester knowing we need a result.Looking forward to listening to DFR totally relaxed and seeing who SW decides to play, I think he will give Asante and Sukar some game time today.

I think it all depends who is available from elsewhere. I wouldn't keep anyone if there is better available. Wouldn't surprise me if Michael Duckworth (York) and Will Smith (Harrogate) are available this summer. Luke Charman's contract is up at Fylde and he hasn't played for the first team since Ja...

[/b]let’s be realistic. This is Darlington so we won’t make it easy. It will go to the last match and we may or not stay up but for sure our nerves will be shredded Farsley lose or draw tomorrow and we win on Saturday, then it's job done without the Chester game. Christ, this thread is a throwback to the time I got hammered for trying to let everyone know that Gowling was attempting to sell off some good players! I wonder what would have happened if Gowling got his way and got rid of others that have contributed towards our turnaround. No better example tha...

It's 3 matches left and I doubt we'll see him at all. Even after about 6 weeks of his "mini pre-season" the bloke could barely run, then got injured again. So we are are about 2 weeks into full training for him after that injury? So he'll be at the barely can run stage now. Why is he going to get i...

He is apparently fit and has been for the last 2 or 3 games, but not being picked. Maybe not impressing the manager with his effort in training, as Curry and Nelson are both being picked ahead of him in the squad. He will be miles short of match practice,so far too much of a gamble playing him.Why ...

Interesting to see Hatfield, Griffiths and Cornish all dropped, and good to see Nelson back on the Bench. At least we will have some options to change things around if it isn't working out. Worried about our midfield tbh.Hope I'm wrong but they are a physical side and we need to match them. Sent fr...

It would be interesting to know how many clubs at our level (and some above) take 300 or so fans to an away game on Easter Monday. 250 mile round trip. Honestly believe we have one of the best away support in non league football and really hope these fans get what they deserve by 5 o clock tomorrow...

Farsley showed signs of toughening up at the back in their 0-0 draw with Southport following an awful run. Not so much of an attacking threat from either side though. Southport by all accounts had no shots on target and Farsley one. I wouldn't like it to be between us and Farsley on the final day. ...

I never saw that one coming. They wanted it desperately and we didn't turn up. Both of our full backs got tortured and we were lucky that their number 9 couldn't hit a barn door otherwise it could have been 5, 6 or 7. What else can you say after that? Salkeld and Cornish did absolutely nothing in this game, best team won so no excuses, but will reserve judgement on Tommy until we see the footage but that 3rd goal should have been saved.Poor result which puts the pressure back on us.

Rushall will feel it's s*** or bust time next Saturday because I think they will struggle to get anything out of the three games after that against Alfreton, Boston and then Blyth. Keeping them at arm's length with a point would be OK for us but they will feel they have to win it, nothing less. Set...

I thought Rivers was outstanding when he came on last night, full of energy, pressed the ball, hassled defenders and made the them sit deeper. Excellent on the ball too. Great substitution as he is a very tidy player and rarely gives the ball away which is what we were doing in the first half. Sent...
