Re: TW - Learning His Trade

Yes, we need consistency but currently there is no method or semblance of attacking play which is what we need to get people to come & watch us. Only 1311 to see us play BPA who could be promoted, on a sunny bank holiday really says it all for this season. MOTM was a loanee (Turner, GK who had kept...

I was disappointed with the Bradford PA support. If we'd been in their position and we'd been playing at Bradford PA, how many fans would we have taken? I'd like to think 700 perhaps 800.
Never sure if you are taking the p**s, or are as dumb as your posts suggest.

Re: TW - Learning His Trade

I can't see how TW acted with undue haste over the goalkeeper situation. We only brought Turner in at the beginning of March so Maddison had plenty of time to iron out the mistakes and show everyone what he was capable of. He's had some good games as at Southport when we got a point largely thanks ...

Re: TW - Learning His Trade

He alone has cost us 7 games? Think that might be a little harsh, but can't be bothered going through highlights to prove or disprove it. In essence, you're saying he cost us the chance of pushing for promotion?

Re: TW - Learning His Trade

Am I the only one who thinks we're consigning Maddison to the dustbin a bit early? He's still young for a keeper, not that experienced, and played behind a constantly changing back four/three. He's made mistakes, but most keepers at this level do. Following Pears didn't help either.

Re: Boston V Darlington

We used to score loads from corners and free kicks, hence why Gray set us up to win them at every opportunity. Defenders are better, and better drilled the higher up you go, so we were always going to score less. We do seem to hit the first man more often now.

I agree, his signings haven't performed. I was questioning why it was felt we suddenly had a squad capable of pushing the play offs when it blatantly isn't.

Walking out of BM on Saturday and looking around you would not believe we won, no chanting no cheers, no smiling faces just sigh of relief and hushed tones of how the other bottom teams got on. Shouldn't the FA be warning Spennymoor about the conduct of Chandler and how he incited the crowd to act the way it did.
The crowd were abusing people before Chandler did anything. In fact that's why he did something. Well done the club for getting rid of a few of them.

Problem for Beck was he made us so one dimensional. When teams sussed out how to negate the long ball for him, he didn't have much else to offer. He wasn't as mobile as an Armstrong or a Purewal, and he also suffered from not having anyone who seemed able to effectively play off his strengths. Neith...

The last I checked, we paid to renovate the pitch, and the last I checked, it's the money from the football club that keeps the rugby club going. Who are the better options on the bench? Two players who've been slagged off all season, and three no-one have seen play, bar twenty minutes at Nuneaton for one of them. The Huddersfield lad's will be costing nothing. Diva's sums it up for you.

None Wright's let go so far have ended up higher or same level have they? Gray let Wing and Edwards go, and they ended up well up the ladder, so it's not the preserve of crap managers only to get judgements wrong. And at the moment, has Wright made a misjudgement on anyone?

A good, well written read. Putting over our present position very well.
