Worked in Potters Bar for a few years. Lived in Tewin, Harpendon, and St Evenage. Liked St Evenage the least.

Re: Darlo v Bradford PA

Lot of talking with the benefit of hindsight here. Not too long ago, no-one was bothered about the players who left, many thought the signings were upgrades. Couldn't do anything about Sousa leaving, Campbell went full-time. I'd say the assessment above is not too different to my thoughts. As for Ai...

Off topic somewhat, but noticed James Caton scored for Dover on Saturday. Surely he's not got himself an NL gig?

Has it not occurred to you that I may not have pursued the conversation with him to find out why he thinks that way? As I said earlier, doctors can quite often have different opinions and this one obviously does too. Is that too difficult for you to comprehend? . Again, while you withhold informati...

Re: Darlington V Tadcaster Albion - preseason friendly

Actually, there's probably less than 10 Million haven't received at least one jab. If 4% of the adult population don't get it, which doesn't seem too unlikely, that's still over 3 million people. Is this an acceptable number to those most at risk, or would we still be wanting restrictions in place?

Re: Darlington V Tadcaster Albion - preseason friendly

Keep hearing that, whilst there are still 20 million unvaccinated we should not be lifting restrictions. If say 12 million of these will never take up the offer, or we get down to 1000 a day taking it up, how long should we continue for? There is a high chance their are going to be a fair few millio...

Not sure why the decline of this message board should have the original poster considering whether to continue to support the club or not.

Be interesting if the tackle had been on Wheatley rather than him making it whether the views would be the same.

When I voted for the Board, I had no idea that I was an unwitting accomplice in a plot to overthrow hooped shirts. Perhaps your ideal shirt should be made part of a candidates election statement next time. That way we will get the Board we deserve.

Daft decision. There was no way in the time it took them to score that they would have realised how serious the injury was. Up to the ref to stop play anyway.

If Groves has aspirations for his vanity project to go full time and replicate Harrogate Town into the football league, and at the same time lose a fortune, then good luck to him.Unlike us they will never become sustainable with that fan base and I just fail to understand what he is trying to achie...

I can't believe that people are saying field a weakened team tomorrow to concentrate on the cup. We play our best line up for both, or what's the point? And if we *must* prioritise one match over the other, then prioritise BPA. We are W3 L4 in the league (assuming the Boston result stands, which it...

There's a big gap in quality between the Evostik and NLN.
He played 35 times for a team aiming for League 2 play offs, so not sure the gap between Evostik and NLN is an issue.

Have to agree. Whilst Armstrong undeniably had the qualities to succeed at a higher level, he opted for the security of a good career outside football and decent part-time earnings. As such, we can only speculate how well he would have done. Styche has done it at our current level, and the one above...

Re: New deal for Donawa, Hatfield, Rivers, Holmes,Hedley,Reid, Storey, Campbell, Laing, Wheatley

We aren't part of the EFL. The majority of the players which we will sign, and have recently signed, are from clubs in the league above, current level or leagues below. There will be exceptions to that, but I would suggest the majority will be in those leagues where we know contracts have ended. Th...

All Spennymoor fans know they are bankrolled. They choose to deny it to irritate people, who for some reason need them to publicly acknowledge it, as if that makes any difference. We know it, they know it, lets move on.

Rugby club must be very worried about their revenue stream & in a way Covid19 could do us a favour if they went into administration.

Very strange game yesterday. The match reminded me of an FA Cup game where we were playing a team a few divisions above and we didn't get a sniff. Every clearance out of defence by them went to one of their players, so we hardly recycled anything. Every time we tried to come forward they pressed ou...
