100% Halifax.

I doubt many will in a rush to come back after that somewhat shambolic day.
Shambolic for who? The Halifax fans have no reason not to come back. They had so much space they were strung out along the fence like washing line!

Can't imagine our pitch is better than theirs. Bit disappointed was looking forward to going down to Halifax for this game.
I trust you will overcome your disappointment and boost Darlo's coffers by venturing to Blackwell Meadows instead.

Last tweet I read it was still £260 which would pay to sponsor a kit to raffle especially as Scott was looking for suggestions to create momentum

Re: Tin Shed Board at BM

At Bishop the Trust sponsored shirts and raffled them off to pay for following season’s shirts and xmas party for stewards so could be a way of raising funds for the board as enough has been donated already. Contact details are commercial@darlingtonfc.org.

Re: Chris Elliott

The Echo article quotes Armstrong saying that "He will be first choice and that was a big selling point for him". It seems pretty clear to me. I would expect the Academy prospect Cameron Hall to be on bench duty with a view to bringing a 'keeper in on loan in the event of injury or suspension.

Rob Duncan is the contact on DFCSG website for Fundraising so probably worth emailing him first with any future fund raising ideas but Andrew Foulds does the raffle on the away bus so could be how he got involved this time

Food has improved towards end of last season. With a near 30% rise it sounds like they have sorted out a better offering, hopefully someone from the club can confirm it either way, if not then £45 is not something I’ll be buying anymore. As a fan funded club who actually decides on pricing as a reg...

Sale Sharks play at the AJ Bell stadium alongside Salford Reds. It's the smart one you can see by the Trafford Centre. The council leases Edgeley Park to the footie club after they bought it for £2 million to prevent demolition/redevelopment apparently. It's good to see a council supporting it's lo...

Ben Clark has been sacked by Gateshead today, I think we should definitely look at him if he’s interested I don't think Ben Clark has any recruitment record (TW's poor recruitment record was one of the main criticisms aimed at him). If I'm not mistaken, Gateshead was under a transfer embargo for th...

Re: Time for Gray to finish the job.....

Dave Penney was obviously a good manager? Hodgson also made us competitive every single year - I think it's unfair to question his ability. No David Penney was not a good manager. He failed to get us promoted with a massive budget and then proved elsewhere how over-rated he was. I think lo was bein...

A fixed sign is probably not a high priority whilst SV talks are ongoing. Somebody mentioned that fans comment on negative aspects and ignore positive improvements. They recently changed bar q system so is it working better (Darlo Pete?)

[/quote] Good summary above. Sort those two problems then it’s either go there at no development cost or develop BM to anywhere between £2m-£3M which we just haven’t got. The decision would lie with a vote of SG members. All fairly academic at present with crowds of 1200 and the 500 seats rarely ful...

Re: FANS NETCAFE -this Friday evening.

In the entire history of DFC, the only period it owned its own ground was at the Arena (until George Houghton split the asset). So owning your own ground isn't always a success. As Mowden Park have also found out - otherwise the SV wouldn't be on the horizon.

Apparently in those days you couldn't refuse permission due to the fact that a new business would probably be a failure - only if locals objected amount could you refuse. Times have changed since then, and now you could raise an objection to something like such an over-grandiose project. I remember...

Re: Early Bird Season Tickets

Early Bird is done by lots of clubs as it’s March/April when most clubs have cash problems. I presume it’s covering staff wages to get us to the end of the season. As a fan owned club it would be good to have a quarterly overview rather than just at the AGM, would that be possible Divas? It might a...

DJ has already stated that another income stream is needed so why is an investor a better option than a fan owned club pursuing this option. I am heartened this week by the success of the half term football course and the appointment of John Vickerman.
