Re: Small clubs in the north west

The recent renewals communication from dfcsg emphasise the point and even mention Bolton & Bury.

Re: Ground Development Fund - Bucket Collections.

As stated previously when I mentioned it to the stewardess towards the end of last season she had been unaware of the problem and nobody had informed our SLO. They obviously tried to fix it during the summer which makes me think it might be mechanical so would be best stopping it if so.

Re: Ground Development Fund - Bucket Collections.

It was also used to replace the damaged perspex in the dugouts to give a clearer view. At the dfcsg agm there is always an update on what has been spent . The rugby club will be unaware of the clock so I will mention it to the stewardess and if it is a mechanical fault can suggest that it is set at ...

I understand we have O'Neill until the end of December, which is a bit different to the handful of matches that we had Nelson for.

Why should he keep an opinion to himself? If he’s got one, and it’s genuinely held, I don’t see what’s wrong with expressing that on a message board, designed for that purpose. Too many people seem to want to shut down any criticism whatsoever. I personally disagreed with Laing being described as a...

Re: Farsley V Darlington Match Thread

Never seen grass so long. But guess you prepare a pitch to how you play and we did not adapt to the ball from defence holding up quick enough. Grass length only matched by Lancaster a couple of seasons ago in the FA Cup. Again, had a significant effect on the outcome. But I don't remember us defend...

Re: Teesside International Airport teams up with Darlington FC

Quite a lot of people mentioned it to the volunteers but nobody had informed the SLO so I checked with the stewardess towards the end of the season. It was the first she knew of it as the rugby club do not use the stand. At present there is no SLO in place but that should be the person to inform abo...

Looking at tweets from DFC & DFCSG they have had a good response to the appeal for volunteers although it would be nice to see some younger ones (nearer 60 rather than 70 or 80) especially to push onwards & upwards.

Not quite a 'fantasy league', but I'm sure DFCSG would appreciate new additions to their 'Come on Darlo' prediction league, which has been running for 16 years (closing date Friday): https://dfcsg.co.uk/?page=comeondarlo

I'm fairly certain the Whitby match was originally down for this Saturday and then got moved to accommodate the Middlesbrough U23s match.

Re: Finally an achievement in the FA Cup & Trophy

I know we nearly always fail in cup competitions and any money would be welcome, but is it only me that thinks it is strange for the FA to reward failure? Thing is Pete, in the qualifying rounds it is very feasible for a home team team to lose money from staging an FA Cup or Trophy match. Maybe not...

100% Halifax.

I doubt many will in a rush to come back after that somewhat shambolic day.
Shambolic for who? The Halifax fans have no reason not to come back. They had so much space they were strung out along the fence like washing line!

I trust you will overcome your disappointment and boost Darlo's coffers by venturing to Blackwell Meadows instead.

At Bishop the Trust sponsored shirts and raffled them off to pay for following season’s shirts and xmas party for stewards so could be a way of raising funds for the board as enough has been donated already. Contact details are commercial@darlingtonfc.org.

The Echo article quotes Armstrong saying that "He will be first choice and that was a big selling point for him". It seems pretty clear to me. I would expect the Academy prospect Cameron Hall to be on bench duty with a view to bringing a 'keeper in on loan in the event of injury or suspension.

Food has improved towards end of last season. Sale Sharks play at the AJ Bell stadium alongside Salford Reds. It's the smart one you can see by the Trafford Centre. Dave Penney was obviously a good manager? Hodgson also made us competitive every single year - I think it's unfair to question his ability. No David Penney was not a good manager. He failed to get us promoted with a massive budget and then proved elsewhere how over-rated he was. I think lo was bein...
