Re: Fans Engagement Workstream, CIC Board Q&A

This thread topic has caused me to have the worst opinion possible of Darlo fans. No scruples, no brains to question things, no intelligence period, really. The fact that Charlie is a moderator (and seemingly respected) despite being one of the most intelligently-challenged people I've ever come acr...

Re: Fans Engagement Workstream, CIC Board Q&A

I'm guessing, AKITJ, that since you're willing to sit here discussing an alleged crime with all of us, without taking your concerns to the proper authorities, that you'd be no better. To use your analogy (although I'd really rather not, it's pathetic), you believe you're aware of someone abusing so...

Re: Fans Engagement Workstream, CIC Board Q&A

The net effect of all this is that generally Darlo fans are either:

a) naive

b) stupid

c) turn a blind-eye to mispropriety

d) all of the above.

Re: Fans Engagement Workstream, CIC Board Q&A

If someone told you they knew of someone committing child abuse to your children would you just say "Well, they're making the accusation, let them deal with it"? I wouldn't take their word for it and alert the police because "someone told me" especially if that person was particularly adament that ...

Re: Fans Engagement Workstream, CIC Board Q&A

This isn't about disagreeing with the choice of items in the club shop. This is way more serious than that, hence my disappointment at people's willingness to accept the CIC's/club's lightweight response to the concerns. Well why don't you contact them and push for a more detailed response? Why me?...

AKJ what is your problem, this quote you keep using "You'll get the club you deserve" seems born out of a man who is not a real fan who is trying his best to undermine the actions and commitments of well meaning and I know because I have met most of them genuine fans trying to push this new venture...

Re: Fans Engagement Workstream, CIC Board Q&A

a) you know I haven't contacted the CIC/club Well - in the nicest way possible - either do it, or shut up. This is going round in circles, helping nobody, and you aren't going to get answers to your accusations on here. Indeed, on here you mostly find people who are not bothered about suggestions o...

Re: Fans Engagement Workstream, CIC Board Q&A

AKITJ, when you sent your communication to the CIC / Football club board, did you request a full explanation to your questions and if so maybe you could publish them on the forum so everyone can use that information to understand the plans going forward? And the point of this post is? To see if the...

Re: Fans Engagement Workstream, CIC Board Q&A

This isnt a promotion, the cost of the cic membership is the same as it will cost anyone else to buy. Also when I asked the club why cic membership was included the back end of june I was told to ask the cic. Nice try, Maurice, but I do not know any person who is involved with the running of the CIC or the Club. Do you find it difficult to believe that someone can simply have an objection to malpractice, whoever it affects? There you go, I've come on here and responded to your aspersion. It wasn't diffi...

Re: Fans Engagement Workstream, CIC Board Q&A

Hope you feel confident to back that up? It was Dave Mills who sat on the board as the representative of the CIC right? So you are now outright saying he abused his position. That's quite a statement to make - cant imagine he will be too happy about it. Is it not normal course of business that a co...

Re: Fans Engagement Workstream, CIC Board Q&A

Thanks for putting this up, markodarlo. There are a lot of words in those responses and a lot of repetition but without actually saying anything. Their comments on the £20 are completely as expected. In otherwords, the CIC has abused its position. I can see why some people's thoughts on the CIC's re...

mikkyx - I do not need to contact them directly to let them know my concerns. Re: Club Statement Thread

Jazz's reasoning that it wouldn't be professional made me laugh. They're not professional - they're a collective of fans that have bumbled along for the last 15 months. I wasn't insinuating they were professionals - I was making the point that we are trying to present ourselves as a club that condu...

Spyman's posts sum it perfectly. Jazz's reasoning that it wouldn't be professional made me laugh. We already know what they'll come out with anyway ...

I've countered everything you've said above many times already.

If you don't think there is a strong suggestion of underhand activities and a lack of transparency then you're a cretin. End of.

Re: New Club Statement

Yeh identical. Seeing as though both the CIC and DFC have the same CEO. What has the CEO got to do with it? The CEO does the bidding of the shareholders. Do you think if Mike Ashley was not CEO of Newcastle United (which you're implying he is), he wouldn't get what he wanted done? To be fair, in my...

Re: New Club Statement

This would be like Mike Ashley increasing the season ticket cost by £20 (which he transfers to Sports Direct) and telling Newcastle fans they can have free delivery on any purchases they make from sportsdirect.com.

It would rightly be regarded as underhand.

Re: New Club Statement

Who are people paying the season ticket money to? If it's Darlington 1883 there is definitely something dodgy going on. Why is it? Where else would you expect season ticket money to go? From the outset all but £20 goes directly to the club. How is it worded, I can't even remember. Does a CIC renewa...
