There are 650 seats in total. Scotland/Wales/NI have too many seats when population per seat taken into account. Then there's devolution.BUSHEAD wrote:Approx 600 seats isn't there in total ?

Re: General Election 2017
Tories will win by 200+ seats. Now they are no longer an EU party I am happy to vote for them. Commie Corbyn's Labour will shout a lot about the NHS which they messed up with debt, and be annihilated. Minor Fart will continue the decline of Limp Dims but take a few Remoaner votes from Liebore. UKIP ...

From Conference North upwards banning orders can be given even without conviction if magistrates, upon application by police, believe that such an order may prevent disorder. Section 14b Football Spectaors Act 1989 (as amended), or 14a with conviction.

Re: EU Referendum
Just praying now that it will be Jamm's version of Brexit and not Henley's! Me too. We won, which after 20 years of arguing for in one form or another is truly amazing, beating the FUD (Fear Uncertainty Doubt) of the Remain 'campaign'. But we have to respect the 48% who voted Remain, however misgui...

Re: EU Referendum
Do Remain voters know what they are voting for? Look at the history of the EU. Read the EU Treaties (or scan read them!). Read the Five Presidents report. That is what the Remain campaign never mention, it's all empty rhetoric. Brexit is not an event but a process. Leave the safe way and take it fro...

Re: EU Referendum
Jamm out of interest given the sales pitch by leave - do you think we would be able to remain in the single market as part of an EU exit? Surely leave voters will feel short changed if we remain in the single market which as I understand it will almost certainly include free movement of people? Yes...

Re: EU Referendum
The Remain campaign must be ashamed of the EU they are desperate to stay in, they cynically have red, white and blue as their colours rather than the yellow and blue of the EU flag. The Remain campaign never refer to the EU Treaties. Read Articles 2-6 TFEU on the extent of EU powers. Or Article 34 T...

Re: Fracking
I'd rather fracking going on up the road than the 4 x 433ft giant industrial wind turbines approved at Bullamoor near Northallerton - where were the protestors then? They will decimate the landscape and are inefficient. Shale gas will lower energy bills and provide jobs. Frack On. The bussed in urba...

Re: EU Referendum
You'll find well researched and informative views on the EU Referendum website - http://eureferendum.com/ Yes it's anti-EU (like me), but is critical of both campaigns, and highlights the increasing irrelevance of the EU with more standards and rules being agreed at global level. Leaving the EU is a...

Re: EU Referendum
Do you want any rights or do you want none? Stay in EU and keep rights, leave and end up at the whims of a Tory government hell bent on returning us to their perceived natural state of us as serfs. So we had no rights before joining the EEC in 1973? All rights will be lost when we leave the EU? Are...

Re: EU Referendum
If I strip out your opinion based stuff (comments over whether you think we're better or not, someone else believes we are better, opinion of campaigns and quotes) the only benefit I can really see is the ability to trade with other countries with our own agreements (although didn't we announce £40...

Re: EU Referendum
Just pushing back anything the remain campaign as 'Project Fear' is really lazy. I said the same thing of the Scottish referendum. - Not anything, but the Remain claims about Brexit are mostly based on the assumption that Art 50 TEU negotiations are a complete failure, it's all "could".... Your quo...

Re: EU Referendum
The EU referendum is a question of democracy. A choice between supranationalism (Remain) and intergovernmentalism (Leave); of centralised subservience to unelected institutions versus the chance to have a revitalised democracy. The former will render UK politics a meaningless charade, aided by an un...

We just have to make sure that we make the facilities at Blackwell Meadow a success, for ourselves, the rugby club and the town. Re: trains for away days
I use East Coast Mainline as they charge less. To get the best bargains you need to book 3 months in advance. Problem is though that these tickets are non-refundable so if the weather or cup competitions cause the game to be postponed you're stuck with the tickets. Also with East Coast you get rewa...
