Re: Blyth...

Having read the article in the nlp it seems blyths board lack ambition and dont even want them in the play offs but odly enough they are. Its as though the players are sticking two fingers up at the board

Re: TW - Learning His Trade

Aspins not a particularly bad bloke who was described as a pleasure to work with by ex gateshead chairman Richard bennot and is not afraid to raid the lower leagues for a good player which paid off with the likes of james montgomery, fraser kerr and scott barrow. Yeah no charisma in interviews but h...

Re: Blyth...

Im not sure if Armstrong applied for the vacant managers job at gateshead a couple of year back and the various times hartlepool have needed a manager recently but hes sure been linked to jobs at both clubs. Im guessing he will stay with blyth as there simply no other vacancies for in and around his...

Re: What Size Ground?

Whilst the ground hopping purists hate new builds the beauty of them and modern construction in general is things are designed and built with future expansion in mind. Theres a company called stadium solutions which can build grounds which utilise prefab construction and they could build a efl capac...

Re: What Size Ground?

I think something like Aggborough (Kidderminster) would be perfect. https://www.footballgroundguide.com/leagues/conference/conference-north/kidderminster-harriers-aggborough-stadium.html 6,200 capacity. All covered. 3,100 seats. One of the best grounds ive been to. Modern, compact, located next to ...

Re: TW - Learning His Trade

TW has learnt a hell of a lot this season about managing a squad and footy finances. If TW is here next season I think will see a player budget used with real purpose. Also player budget savings by making much more use of the loan market. Getting quality players from loan signings and on the cheap....

Never expected aldershot to go down and will be sad to see them go. Good riddence to braintree and hope they dont end up in the nln. Im certain kettering would be placed in the nln but is there ground up to scratch?

As for this restructuring whilst some may not think its a good thing it was inevitable that the nln and nls had to increase to 24 teams go increase r...

Re: Gateshead

It is the budget that is hacking you off really as you don't like the way he is trying to keep the costs down, selling off an asset whether the manager agrees or not is keeping you to a budget that he sets. It's his club so that's fine for him to do it, the non payment of players etc. is wrong. I w...

I do agree with that, if chris dunphy or anyone else came in and took over things needs to change or it sure would be the last throw of the dice, obviously support would need to grow and a long term plan be put in place for a stadium, a stadium is not an immediate need as the IS does meet leag...

Re: Adam Bartlett

The way things are going in non league these days sure gives him more options. Barlertt was a good goalkeeper at gateshead and was only let go because a new manager came in (malcom crosby) and replaced with him with sam russel, who despite his vast experience was a dud. Sounds like barlertt could ta...

Re: Gateshead

Gateshead aren't viable or self sustaining, and slight envy that they continually seem to find a decent owner aside (even though the current lot are shysters, investment from the guy who was at Rochdale at Darlo would be welcomed, I think) they aren't a sustainable football club in their current st...

What the fook are yous on about quakerz and dg, its just money the lads are owed so what do you think should happen the players should not continue to get there wages as the owners is been a arce so they will go on strike (would not blame them) and they dont forfill the remaining fixtures, affecting...

Gateshead

The point is you're blaming the league. The only reason you want to use the bond is because the owners don't want to invest anything else in the club. That's not the league's fault. Biggest problem with Gateshead fans - always pointing the finger at other people rather than looking at how to sort t...

The thing is - Gateshead fans have no power over the direction of their club. Good or bad, what happens just happens. I'm not overly chuffed watching Darlo huff and puff in a crap ground but no one is going to put us into administration again - hopefully..... I agree, Sadly they don't but the leagu...

The fa clearly think otherwise or you would not have gone as far down as the northern league which I do think was a bit harsh. However fair doos to the new club for honouring the debt

Gateshead

Gateshead's budget last season was 609k, fact. Pretty moderate compared to some other clubs in that basket case of a league, but way, way, way, way more than they could naturally sustain. If they have an average or poor season they will get crowds of 500, so it's hard to see how they can naturally ...

Re: Salford lost £34k a week

Bonkers! Martin Gray was always banging on about Salford. Salford this/ Salford that, but they are in a different galaxy to us. The money they are able to spend is incredible - but it was always going to be this way. Apparently financial fair play rules in League 2 will make things harder for them....
