Re: Should we take the FA Trophy seriously?
We play Ossett Town on Saturday in the Trophy, should we take the game seriously? A good run can raise some much needed money, but it could also cause a fixture backlog and stretch our squad. In my opinion I'd like to see us take the FA Trophy seriously, if only to see how we match up against possi...

Just don't fancy giving them my mobile number - heard too many stories.

Anyone know any good, reputable providers? Happy to pay if their likely to be around long term and be safe and secure?

Maybe, but when was the last time Diaz stopped anyone decent?
Alexander has faced far better people granted, but still struggles to get them out of there.

Garcia was outstanding for me, and will hopefully start to the get the credit that he deserves. I don't think he's ready for Mayweather though - but then again, who is?

Re: Ireland Job
Interesting given that O'Neill is Northern Irish. The other two names you plucked out feel a bit random for the Ireland job. Surely the likes of Steve Clarke and Tony Pulis have proved themselves as much recently!? Maybe Roy Keane fancies a return to the hot seat? I don't think Steve Clarke would l...

I think Garcia will win too. People talk about his sheer power but he's never really faced anyone with the speed of Garcia. How will he react if Garcia is still in there after six or seven rounds?

Obviously Martin O'Neill is the front-runner but I wouldn't mind seeing someone like Rene Muelensteen or Glenn Hoddle get a show at the job. Both highly respected coaches with plenty of experience.

I've heard that Adrien Broner might be defending his title against Marcos Maidana later this year too. His promoters must be pretty simple if they want to risk putting him in with someone like Broner.

I too think we're good enough to grab a win tonight. We're usually pretty good when we're up against it. It won't be easy, but I'm pretty confident.

There is no way whatsoever that Ricky Burns deserved to keep his title. I had Beltran ahead by at least three points and I'm sure I wasn't alone.
Having said that, Burns showed tremendous balls to go through ten rounds at such high pace with a broken jaw.

I agree - Kagawa is a fantastic player. He'll probably get a chance in one of the League Cup games or meaningless Champions League group games or something like that.

Re: Premier League Thread
Fellaini has been one of the best midfielders in the premiership for a couple of seasons. Not sure about the Cantona comparison though, and it certainly wasn't excellent business considering the fact that 5 weeks earlier they could've paid £3million less for him! One of my best mates is a Poolie and had a spare ticket so I went along to the game last night.
To be fair to them, they played some decent football and completely took Bradford to school. Our former galactico Niale Rodney scored a pretty decent goal at the end too.

As others have said, I don't think we really need another striker. Our current lot are more than good enough to fire us to promotion.

I'm sure he needs to start playing regularly soon so could be a good move.
