Re: Darlington V Rushall
To be fair our transfer listing of players was a pretty poor effort. We didn't actually send a circular round other clubs who might be interested. Obviously just dependent on word of mouth. I got the news of Warrington and Scarborough transfer listing players yesterday. I got Chester's last Monday....

Re: The truth
Worst defeat in 37 years and nothing from the club...nothing. There was a post match interview with our manager in which he apologised to supporters. What else are we meant to do? If you’re after more communication there’s a fans forum in 48 hours. The worst Darlington result since 1987, that’s som...

Re: Gowling MUST go!
I think the club became too engrossed in the talk of Gowling becoming involved with the commercial & community aspect of the club that they forgot what would have stopped the rot - appointing a manager with a good track-record of winning games of football at this level. Wholeheartedly agree with th...

Re: Darlo v Chester
I said it many times Jacob Hazel is a goal scorer he needs to have a target man beside him to allow him to run onto the ball , his work rate of the ball is good some fans can't see the wood from the trees.I would back Jacob to come good with the right setup  Have you been watching the game...

Re: Darlo v Chester
As I said on social media, that today was something else. That performance is what this club is all about, it’s what we stand for as fans. I’ve been majorly critical of Gowling of late but today he got that spot on, that 45 minutes is probably the best I’ve seen us play since Scarborough and if thos...

Re: GOWLING OUT
Its possible to back the board and still think Gowling was the wrong choice. I didnt think Wright was the right choice either but given his connections I thought it might work out. How Gowling was first choice, given his record, baffles me even more than Wright did. 100%. The board of this club are...

Re: Tommy Taylor
Got to the game late on Tuesday a little late, so I’m not sure if TT was there, but he certainly hasn’t been around for the home games, that’s where the speculation starts, other out field players turn up even when not picked He took part in the pre-match warm up so yes he was there. He was also pr...

Just going to have to rebuild from the NPL, no sign that JG has got any significant change in performances, so these players are not NLN standard. The club has become stagnant at this level. Here comes the clown again everyone Sam, it is the reality atm and I don't really know what beef you have wi...

Re: New signing
I was wondering if this means that one of our many midfielders will be leaving? Please don't be Will Hatfield. Please. Highly unlikely! This lad looks like a wide player. Hopefully it might mean we ditch this damn 1 up front tactic. Looks predominantly a right winger but can play centrally judging ...

Re: What is going on at DFC? Media Manager edition.
Grammar police joking aside I'm impressed with both of these efforts. Well presented and thorough and examples of how the reins (not reigns) could be passed to others to take the load off Ray who seems to be juggling a number of roles at the moment. If people could get past thinking there's critici...

Ray has been with the club through thick and thin with a range of mangers and owners. Yes he might not be the most enlightened on Snapchat or Instagram but he is representing the clubs media output not a local paper or disgruntled fan group. Re: What is going on at DFC? Media Manager edition.
Preview In a top v bottom league clash, Josh Gowling takes his Darlington side to the Lamb Ground for the first time since 2019 where the Quakers emerged victorious, putting themselves into the FA Cup 1st Round after an early Liam Connell penalty save put Darlington on course to a 3-0 victory in Sta...

From my view their first goal looked like a standard goal scored regularly in every league, everywhere! Cross gets whipped in/striker gets up first/goal! I'm not planning on watching MOTD tonight but I reckon they'll be at least one of these on show - it's football. Got to agree with the fatcat on ...

Re: Scarborough Fa Cup
As I have stated many a time, the mid-table budget argument is a pointless stat. It's the calibre of players to put a squad together that we can afford that determines league position, we simply don't have the squad quality and in part that is because the budget doesn't stretch far enough - for thi...

Re: Scarborough Fa Cup
Getting relegated to the NPL would not be catastrophic. Yes we'll probably lose a few off the gate but if we retain our core support we'll find our level again which I believe at this moment is actually the division below. We need cup runs as this is really only our other opportunity during a seaso...

Re: Josh Gowling...
I don’t think that’s something the club should be making public. If you think back to Tommy Wright’s time, none of us knew that his contract was up at the end of that season. If we did, we’d have all known that he was 100% going and perhaps the end part of the season would’ve been even worse. Some ...
