Re: Durham FA Challenge cup

The comments from fans on here make interesting reading. Will Darrell Clarke be manager when we go there?. I seem to remember many moons ago we played 3-4 clubs on the trot and after each game they sacked their managers. Funny feeling Walsall may have been 1 of them https://www.expressandstar.com/s...

Re: FA Cup draw - Darlo Away to Walsall

Are we still entertaining the notion that Blackwell Meadows isn't absolutely rubbish for anything more than our standard league crowd? A big away crowd is always a cracking atmosphere, especially when the home crowd aren't arsed and are easily drowned out. We're not capable of a big home crowd. Our...

Re: FA CUP FIRST ROUND

According to my records this is the first time we have won 3 consecutive FA Cup ties away from from home in the same season. Lucrative away tie with 6,000 + crowd and TV will set us up with cash for next season and keep AA’s two year plan on track, regardless of the result. People are starting to g...

Re: Fans forum needed

With John Woolnough gone I’ve heard the accounts are looking to be outsourced from Clive Owen who do the current pay role if this is true then it’s worrying as the DFCSG promised a tight hold of all finances as a fan owned club. It would be good to have an update on finances and where DFC are finan...

You can carry on asking fans to dig deep each season, or for a more sustainable future, the club need to boost its commercial income Whilst I agree that we need to boost our commercial income, how is that more sustainable than "asking fans to dig deep"? Once you get extra sponsorship, is it guarant...

Well said Darlopartisan and excellent effort in raising funds and so quickly.

Two extremes of football in one post.

I hesitate to call the thieves fans or even followers. They are scum.

Re: Burn Gone

how does a transfer window work in terms of 'restraint of trade'. Surely this is restrictive? You can complete a transfer at any time. You can only register players in the window. So no restraint of trade arises. For example. Man U could sign Harry Kane today, pay his new wages etc. He would be a M...

When Spin is lecturing us on footy finances (and how to do it properly and sustainably) at this level, he is clearly implying that clubs like Spendy show the way. Of course the truth is that the main sponsor of Spendy is Great Annual Savings and in fact several of the board members/officials of Spe...

Re: Darlington V Boston

Looking at their squad they are clearly yet another club who are bankrolled to fuck. Also, it appears they are getting a shiny new ground too. I hope we utterly smash them. Well hush my mouth it appears that they are not bankrolled. Yes, they are the 2nd known club in the NLN (as well as us) to liv...

It's really sad that the signing of a Darlington lad should have turned into this awful saga. Whatever the rights and wrongs, thank God it has finally been brought to an end. I think Potters Bar v Barnet... Underdog at home swings it over Notts County game plus I am sure that I’ve read the BBC getting some stick over northern bias in choice of games in the earlier rounds. Come on Tamworth tonight... John Motson before making the draw named 4 teams he was looking for.......

Merged a couple of topics that got opened together on this one. Also: s***. Not the worst draw in terms of opposition but another long trip to a "Northern" half club. Hereford are going great now they have Russell Slade in as manager. Have to hope if its them that they want to concentrate on the Le...

No it means the FIFA does not permit the deal to happen outside of the transfer window
Or could he not be signed on dual registration like Alex Storey is?
'Dual registration' only applies to non-contracted players.
Thanks for that. I hadn't realised that.

Can loan deals not happen outside this window? I thought it was permanent transfers that couldn't happen outside the window

People saying they prefer Chase as we will have a better chance need a bit of a rethink.
