Re: Darlo v York

Don't think they york were that much better Darlington today, I think york will not be promoted because I saw nothing special about them, bang average and will maybe make top 8. They have had a good start,I just can't see them as champions. You are virtually the only person I have heard this season...

Difficult to know what to make of this really. Had an absolute mare against Kings Lynn, but then everyone has a bad game, and as the article states, AA did refer to him personally in the post match interview and he was dropped for Blyth for Galbraith to return despite Tez not being 100% fit for Bly...

FA rules prevent drinking whilst watching FA Cup games. Re: Darlington V Blyth

I was absolutely delighted with last night's victory however my one gripe is the amount of short corners we are taking and 50 per cent of the time screwing them up and wasting our advantage by losing possession …... Its not just Darlington who do that. Too many sides take short corners and fail to ...

Unable to make the long trip to follow Daro this weekend, I thought I might look at Dunston UTS v Sunderland RCA in the FA Cup, as its close by. Re: Small clubs in the north west

THeres good and bad points of fan ownership im sure and the likes of bury prove its advantages, but one thing thats not been mentioned on here is the clubs that were rescued by fans after bad ownership who later accepted outside investment that they deemed suitable. Re: King’s Lynn

I have to say that I think people are being over harsh. Kings Lynn will be one of the best sides in this Division. For the 1st 45 mins Darlington out battled a more skilful Kings Lynn and create more real chances. Darlington were getting in the face of Kings Lynn with some aggressive & physical play...

Re: King’s Lynn

Nice ground & nice bar under MainStand.

Shame most Darlington fans can't use it because of the segregation in place today.
Still the bar serves a nice pint & the locals are friendly.

Never realized until I was in ground it was segregated.

Right, I'll "engage". What kind of "investor" do you want? One who will actually want to make money from their investment, which is what an investor is, or a sugar daddy who lumps money at the club with no hope of any financial return? Because A) would be a crap businessman, and B) would be a figme...

If a long term fan won the Euromillions I may be persuaded to consider letting 50% go, but never to another Reynolds / Singh / Houghton etc.

If you let it go, its gone forever.

You sell to a benevolent lottery winner .... but you then can't control what he or she does later with that share.

It's just my opinion supported for 35 years. I See a generation of young kids never going to a darlo match. If someone was out there willing to invest it should be seriously looked at. Re: Small clubs in the north west

It should be in the rules where the EFL could temporarily step in and take charge of a clubs affairs as a short term option. That would be an illegal act by the EFL or the FA. They can no more take control of someone else's business than I can come into your house and order you how to run it. Its n...

Re: Small clubs in the north west

Bury’s long term future will be defined by ownership of Gigg Lane. If they keep hold of it, or lease it on reasonable terms, they’ll end up challenging in the Vanarama National. Without a decent ground, they’ll be no better off than us. If Bury or a phoenix club can't retain Gigg Lane, there are a ...

Re: Small clubs in the north west

If Bury go under it won't be for the lack of effort. They've managed to get a huge amount of national TV coverage, including live BBC broadcasts today and Government ministers getting involved in a way that few other clubs plunged into the mire have managed. There's huge pressure to pull it back fr...
