An employer can’t refuse a resignation whether it is a fixed-term or permanent contract. They will have to accept it and the employee will be legally required to work their notice period. ….. Re: Boost The Budget 19/20

BTB is just money into the pot. We have expected revenue + BTB. Then remove expected costs and what's left is the budget, with hopefully some wriggle room left over this time - if we have learned from last season. The beauty of BTB is the money comes in each month so on quiet months you have an inc...

I thought I'd read somewhere that we'd asked Blyth's permission to speak to him. I assumed this to mean, he applied, so we asked Blyth at that point. Could be wrong Its not as straight forward as that. Most football players/ managers are on fixed term contracts. You and I are normally employed on o...

Re: Pre season

Only way it's a money maker is to get a big club in at home, and just give them the majority of the tickets. We should've done it with Sunderland last year. The problem for all non league clubs these days is that big clubs send such weak teams to play friendlies against them. The 1st team go abroad...

Would it not make more sense to have 20 teams in NLN this season and 24 NLS teams?

I know the National League don’t do that thing called ‘common sense’ but it was just a thought I had
The FA do the allocations & league numbers. Not the National League

Re: Teams in National League North for next season

I'm not sure what the implications are if Ebbsfleet, Gateshead or both go pop? I can't see them being moved down just a division. If they go, you'd expect it'll be anything new will be a phoenix club, and there will be reprieves for relegated sides? Either that, or they play the conference as a 22 ...

Gloucester city ( and other sources) say decision will be announced on 18 May 2019 http://www.gloucestercityafc.com/north-or-south/ Also the NLP say it will have details ...

Re: Chorley V Spennymoor

It’s a brutal way to finish a season. On just one scored or missed penalty. I remember going to Rochdale in 2008 season. Kennedy hit a weak penalty, and that was it/End of! I suppose Chorley finished 2nd, so it was kind of their spot up for grabs. It's a brutal way to decide a season. Over the Seas...

I thought Warrington were in our league, didnt they beat Shields in final, or has it all changed There's then a "super playoff" between the playoff winners of the four leagues at that level. The demise he refers to is in our no longer being a league club, and County Durham not therefore having one. That is true. He even says he takes no pleasure in it. Luke Trotman Called Up Again for England C

Announced on club website on Thursday. An excellent achievement for any player, especially so when playing outside the National League top division. Can only be a win for him and for club as will increase his chances of progressing & boost his value if he does ever move. https://darlingtonfc.co.uk/n...

What a farce that enfield situation is, worse than the northwichs. I would say theres only 1 true successor the one that actually plays in the town Enfield Town, the club who play in the Borough were formed before the original Enfield FC ceased to exist, so can't legally be the successor club, albe...

It is virtually impossible to work out which of the three Enfield clubs are the genuine successor Enfield FC - the club that we beat twice in our Conference season of 89-90 (1-0 and 3-0). They were however, a major non league club for decades and would sit in todays era as a doppelganger to Telford...

There's an awful lot that the FA can do but they can't be bothered as has been said, Darlington fc didn't go into administration but the previous owner didn't give the golden share over so they the FA deamed us a new club chucking us down 5 leagues, so yes the FA could Do more than they do to allev...
