Re: FSA/NLP Survey

Our Secretary is right about FSA needing good data to push forward fans' view. Tell them what you feel is the best way forward, otherwise big business, TV & politicians will carve things up between themselves without regard for the grass roots of the game - fans. I agree totally with you, but I als...

Re: Who will follow Wigan Athletic into administration?

I can't understand it, it's crazy - however I can't help thinking (in a naive way) that if it turns out to be one big scam involving people and money that may or may not exist then why can't it be nullified. All the assets are here in this country after all... It's bizarre, that is for certain. How...

Re: Vice Presidents Donate More Funds | York City Football Club

If its costing clubs up to £50k each to take part in the play offs, and only one team can go up, the other 5 clubs potentially are going to need to find a lot of money to ensure they don't have increased debts/ reduced budgets for next season

Re: Increasingly unlikely playoffs

According to York Press, now looking more likely that NLN & NLS playoffs will go ahead https://www.yorkpress.co.uk/sport/18536158.targeted-dates-york-city-play-off-campaign-revealed/ Still some uncertainty over TV screening with BT Sport & also costs associated with testing programme on players for...

Re: Increasingly unlikely playoffs

Seems a little unclear where the others stand. Altrincham seem to have said they favour playing them... but the money is a significant caveat. I can’t see any real comment from Chester, Gateshead or Brackley yet? Spending this money strikes me as ridiculous... also, surely the players are all on fu...

Re: Increasingly unlikely playoffs

Just looking at the current resolution sent to NL clubs as reported in a Non-League Paper article. If passed (which it probably will, otherwise the default is anulment ie no promotion to EFL), there will be play-offs in NLN and NLS "if legally possible". There would be no compulsion for qualifying ...

Re: Increasingly unlikely playoffs

I’ve been told the play offs in theory could be back on. It seems the league implied that the government had brought in this “elite” rule but they never stipulated about which leagues it applied to. So PPG - the top 6 could compete if they wish. But they don’t have to, although if anyone drops out ...

Re: Playoffs

The reason as I understand it is that the NLN and NLS were not classed as “elite sport” by the DCMS. The NL was considered elite so they can go ahead with play offs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk There are not many Elite sportsmen in the NL I'd say so how do they come to that conclusion probab...

Re: The Team 20/21 season

Seems as good a solution as any, and I could see a world where that season ends up being something like March-July next year. ... That won't be allowed to happen because the Euros are next summer so they (UEFA) won't allow leagues to continue whilst Euros are on, even though not many players at Nat...

So after years of arguing that the club were not formed in 2012, you are now happy for people to state Darlington were formed in 2012?

Strange that you aregued so much against this in the past, now you don't care

Re: Boost the budget

I can't believe people criticizing the number of investors or the amount raised. The amount raised each year by fans of Darlington is fantastic. I wonder if there is any other club whose fans ( individuals not corporate investors) raise as much for their club, on top of the usual gate money/ 50/50 d...

Given the level of funding GAS puts in to the club (not a guess, check the accounts).... Think you have misunderstood the note to the GAS Accounts. Boyes is the most interesting but I bet he was on very good money there. They paid a big fee for him and gave him a two-year deal with the option for a third year. Surprised they have released Roberts who was a regular for them and chipped in with a fair number of goals.Think he played mainly wide ...
