Re: Retention for next year

Exactly what I was about to say. Donawa quite possibly never would've signed had Holmes not got injured - I think he was only on trial until that point. There's a chance we might cash in on Donawa at some stage which would then open up a slot for Holmes again. I think Atkinson's versatility, if he c...

Re: David Johnston

Good news. Whatever debt his investment is wiping out, it means we move forward with a cleaner slate than we otherwise would have and in Johnston we seem to have a very shrewd operator at the helm.

Re: Retention for next year

If we can get someone like Boyes in for Ainge that would be good business.

Then I'd say it's just about retaining as much of the squad as we can and upgrade a couple of positions if the right player becomes available.

Re: Retention for next year

I suppose we are reaching the business end of the season - and while I still think we might make the playoffs, i'm not sure winning them is really on the cards. As such, I'm sure the management has one eye on next year, and who stays and who goes in order to push on for next season. Who would you l...

Re: Today's results Saturday February 15th 2020

Firstly, not going to happen. If he goes out on loan it'll be to a higher level than ours.

Secondly, our best run of form came after he'd left so what makes you think he's the only thing that could get us in the playoffs?

Re: Leamington at home

Blyth game on. Darlington no confidence with pitch, surely it can't be as bad as the Tranmere v Manchester United game DFC just making the sensible decision. Cant expect to put teams and fans in danger by making them travel in treacherous conditions. But then again, Spenny arent that bothered about...

Plucky Salford

I see Plucky Salford have signed James Wilson from Man Utd, considered just 3 or 4 years ago to be a potential Premiership player with a big future ahead of him. At least they are finally recruiting grass roots talent from the Manchester area as they said they were setting out to do when they first ...

Re: Osagi gone

I think question was why he didn't get more game time. Atkinson has been injured all season so hasn't kept him out of the team and same with Reid only been with us a short while. I do however agree that the others are probably better players. I think it's obvious why he's not had more game time. Ha...

Having never watched it before, I've gone from thinking that it was utter pap when Trots first went in to now watching the past couple of episodes and slowly being sucked into the Love Island vortex   Anyways, as for how Luke T's getting on (there's another Luke, Luke M, who somehow m...

Re: Jason Kennedy

Wouldn't we be better off finding a younger player who plays now like Jason did then ? It rarely goes well for 'second spells' especially after this length of time - I can only think of Lance Robson who really managed the trick. Also, the players we have are good enough. Yes we would. That's why no...

Yep, a class act 12 years ago but seems to have had a lot of injury problems since and was in a wheelchair a couple of years ago.

Sounds like Reid brings the best out of Campbell, but perhaps with Martin in the side we need a more mobile alternative to Reid playing off him?

Re: Chester game....

Disappointing performance and probably a result of fatigue and injuries. All teams have a few off-days a season and that was certainly one of them. There was little accuracy on our passes, we were too slow going forward and lacked the guile to break down their packed defence. Hatfield’s dynamism wa...

I don't think we can complain or he particularly worried about the result - we've been on a terrific run and eventually were going to have an off day. The main thing is we pick back up next time and don't let one defeat derail what looks like it could be a really exciting second half of the season. ...

Very sad news that Alfreton town player, Jordan Sinnott (son of former Bradford player, Lee) has died this afternoon after a serious assault last night.

Only 25. Really shocking.

Disappointing to be missing Hatfield and quite surprised Atkinson comes straight in over Holness who you'd think might be a bit sharper.
