Re: Fitness levels

It seems like such an easy thing to get right - tactics and technique to a certain extent can't be drilled in at this level but fitness surely should be. There's probably a link between travelling time of players and fitness? I remember reading that Robert Snodgrass, when on loan at Aston Villa, was...

I like Wright, and he ticks so many boxes of what we need from a manager, but unfortunately he seems incapable of putting out a consistently decent side at this level.
Which is unfortunately the key requirement of his job.

Re: Tommy Wright: 19/20 Season. Yay or Nay

My own views on Wright are that I don't rate him as a manager and even if he somehow makes impressive summer signings with a reduced budget you just know we won't achieve anything anyway. Then again, we can't afford to achieve anything because success brings massively increased costs for a start. G...

Hope not or I'll be returning my season ticket when it arrives. Win on Monday and we could be up to 12th? Time for contract extensions for TW/AW. Get it sorted so they can begin planning for next season. Re: TW - Learning His Trade

I liked Maddison, great shot stopper imo. I think he's had his confidence shot and hasn't regained in. Would like to think a fresh start in the summer for him and refocus. Come back in pre-season and be the GK we know he can be. Do we know he can be anything other than an error prone goalkeeper who...

Why not? If he can turn out a team to play like that - I've always said he had it in him somewhere. Loved watching Thompson showboating towards the end. A decent side well beaten at their place - two great goals - lovely weather - good ale - trains tun on time. Maybe the tides turned like the Witha...

Tommy, s budget was nowhere near Mr Grays fact, Nope. TW this season has operated on a comparable budget to Gray's first season at this level. Fact. There are many factors involved of course, but TW in fact operated on a higher playing budget than Gray in 16/17. It seems TW's budget was far more ge...

Wrong choice has been made in my opinion. Did you vote remain in the referendum? Anyone who chose the red and black is clearly thick, corrupt, racist or too stupid to realise what they were voting for. I demand an immediate re-run, sorry confirmatory ballot, just so we're all certain of what we act...

There is a small 6 month window every year in which the Council cares about certain types of schemes.

That 6 months is just before council elections - Mr Upshall just got his timing wrong.
A small 6 month window every year which is half a year long?

Doesn't seem that small....

There should not be another vote just to appease the remainers. The vote was out that should happen. That is democracy. Exactly, you can bet your bottom dollar that if the vote had been to remain, they the anti-brexit people wouldn't countenance a second referendum. It would not have been even thou...

TW is anything but a twat, or any other derogatory term a minority of people like to use for him. Hes a good bloke who has unfortunately not done the best of jobs with the first team, partly down to his own decisions and partly down to bad luck. Styche certainly didnt think TW was a twat. Do all these signings mean that TW has been told he`s the manager for next season ? Contracts are only until end of the season so I wouldn't necessarily say that's any indication. Maybe this is a chance for him to show what he can do with these players to attempt to persuade the board he can hit on...

Interesting one - an attacking midfielder where we already have Henshall, Thompson, Kneeshaw, Nicholson and with Holness, Elliott and Wheatley we're well stocked in behind as well. There must be some intention for these recent signings to stay beyond the end of the season, so perhaps an indication t...

If being relegated means Wright leaves with some of the Midlands lads, and we end up signing a few more local players who play with their hearts on their sleeves then i'd take it. As expected the fans are split - which in my opinion means that TW will stay. A couple of left field appointment potentials - Peter Beardsley, just left Newcastle (under 23's manager and will have a good knowledge of the age group on our area) and Mark Sampson - former manager of the Lionesses. My gripe is seeing how the money we raised for a "competitive" budget has been wasted on a team and a manager who aren't good enough. I am simply not convinced the manager we have can spend our money wisely or that he deserves another chance to do so after the dross he has served up this season. Th...

Withdrawing your funding, therefore impacting the club's finances, because you don't like a manager is Raj Singh behaviour. I'm not sure it's quite the same. Cancelling BtB midway through a season definitely is Singh behaviour. Choosing not to subsidise the club next season while budgets for next s...
