Re: FA Cup draw - Darlo Away to Walsall

I see that Walsall don't have a midweek game next week, but we are playing on Wednesday, which is going to make it tough against Walsall who are also full-time.

Re: Democracy under threat.

Great news as the second reading of the brexit deal has been passed, although I feel the Government will lose this timetable vote & then what happens? Boris has indicated that he will pull the bill & seek a general election.

Re: FA Cup draw - Darlo Away to Walsall

I'm happy with the draw, I fancy our chances of making a decent fist of it & I could see us getting a draw. We'll have a very decent following & we can become the 12th man. And yes I managed to avoid the draw, before watching it as live at 9-30pm.

So, today we have the Speaker directly challenged as to his impartiality based on his ruling re' the government having a "rerun of Saturday" His response? .........To turn it into smirk-fest. Shame on the entire house. The Speaker who was warmly congratulated by the same complainers in March 2019 w...

Sounds like Pete will relive that episode of The Likely Lads!
That was one of the funniest ever episodes of The Likely Lads does someone want to tell Pete that there is fog forecast on the Tyne tonight?
I'm not listening & I am humming very loudly.

I thought there fans were very gracious in there applauding of O'Neill as he was substituted & at the end it was noticeable that a group of fans stayed behind to applaud our team, now that doesn't happen very often does it? Good luck to them & I hope they manage to get promoted.

Pete, great to see you are still using VHS at your house.
What's wrong with VHS? Now I'll be taping the programmes on my SKY box, but thanks for your concern.

Gutted I'm working tomorrow evening, till after 8pm. So I'm taping BBC Look North, to see the extended highlights & coverage of Saturday's game  & then I'll be taping BBC2 for the cup draw. I'll have the radio & mobile switched off, to try & avoid knowing opponents before I watch is as live.

Guess we want to be drawn away to 43: http://www.thefa.com/news/2019/oct/16/fa-cup-first-round-draw-details-161019 - failing that, we want to be the ball that's left at the end - lucky winners this time! I can't imagine how excited I will be if we are involved in the draw on Monday. If that happens...

Hopefully MP's will now back democracy & support Boris's new brexit deal. Wonder if Jenny Chapman will support the agreement & save her seat or will she stand side by side with Jeremy & lose her seat before the end of the year?

Re: FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round - Away to Tamworth or Hereford

It would be nice to think that all that ill luck, in never doing well in the cup for so long, could be paid back all in this one season, with us getting through on Saturday, and getting the bye in the first round proper. That special position plus a good draw in the second round might also be enoug...

Robbo is right politics should be kept out of football. I'm sure there are some people that hold your political views, but they will form a very small percentage of the normal electorate.

Having such a huge turnover of players is never very good for team spirit. You need to get a settled squad or you are going to struggle next season.

Great to see that Toronto won promotion to the Superleague, although Featherstone pushed them until the last 20 minutes, when Toronto's superior fitness started to take over. It'll be really interesting to see how Toronto do next season, I think they'll surprise a few.
