Re: Rugby League

The problem that the rugby world cup has, is that they're are only 3 teams that have the potential to win the world cup & that is England, New Zealand & the overwhelming favourites Australia. For a strong tournament you need a tournament were the potential winners number more than 3 & the rest of th...

I think there will be a light frost, the game shouldn't be under threat.

Yes just read the BBC article about him. Really sad news for him & his family & you'll find him very hard to replace at this late stage of the pre-season.

Good to see Stockport are moving forward. Perhaps this thread should have been posted on the Terraced Forum, as it doesn't involve Darlington.

I requested that the forum was removed, so delighted the moderators have listened. You need removing now, biggest culprit for spouting rubbish At least Darlo_Pete is a Darlington fan on a Darlington forum. Cheers Al, I take it as quite a compliment polarbear asking me to be removed.

Where is the statement that was promised this evening? I've only been in hospitality once & I wasn't expecting to enjoy it, but the meal exceeded my expectations & I'd do it again.

Re: Spennymoor game off

According to a statement on their website at least uncle Brad has apparently agreed to pay for the Altrincham supporters coach for the rearranged fixture, but not for this one it seems , and offered them complimentary refreshments. Just clarifying something for you there, Mister e. That's no good f...

I don't claim to know too much about the commercial side of the club, like many other supporters. But from the outside, it looked like Morley was doing a good job & so I was surprised to hear that Morley was leaving. Hopefully the club statements, will resolve what happened, when they issue a statem...

I see Wire's marquee signing Gareth Widdop has got injured & will miss the first 3 games of the season, including their season opener at Wigan. Gutted for him, but at least Wigan will benefit!!

I think you are just a bit late with this recommendation :?
It's a bit far too come to take some pics as well, unless it was Toronto near Bish.

According to the following link, he has regained consciousness & things are sounding a bit more positive. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-league/51089997 This sounds like bonkers about a new structure for promotion from the Championship & Division 1. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-league/51094099

Re: Today's results Saturday January 11th 2020

We should be going hell bent in every game & if that results in us getting into the playoffs, then that would be great news. If we fall short then fair enough, but I would be very disappointed if the players don't try there utmost in our remaining games.

Re: Today's results Saturday January 11th 2020

I was just going on the fixtures on this website, which shows we have to arrange away games at Leamington & Gloucester. If that is the case then they will have to be midweek fixtures. I apologise if I was using the wrong info that was showing on this website.

Re: Today's results Saturday January 11th 2020

I think one of the problems we have is that we now have to play 4 re-arranged midweek away games & 1 at home. Naturally this will affect our away support, as 3 of the 4 away games are a fair distance & only Guiseley is relatively near & I would expect a large away following. Naturally if we are in t...

Re: Today's results Saturday January 11th 2020

It's good to see that we have a game in hand over the 4 teams above us, although Gateshead directly below us, do have 2 games in hand. Although a long way away the game at Gateshead towards the end of the season, could be crucial.

Re: Today's results Saturday January 11th 2020

I think you need to involve a lot more teams in the relegation battle, probably up to Leamington, as Blyth recent surge in form, has changed them from a dead & buried side, into a side that is odds on to avoid relegation. Great read Ginge as per usual.

Re: Harrogate Match

Thommo hasn't been playing well for a while now, he could do with a rest & his efforts to become the record goalscorer, is like a millstone around his neck. You could tell Harrogate are a very professional full time team.
