I know it is nothing compared to his salary when he was playing - but Campbell is owed £180,000 from a what 9 month spell at Macclesfield.

He was contracted on (at least) £20,000 per month at Macclesfield...and that is assume he wasn't even paid anything.
may have had a survival bonus?

Re: Leamington (A)

For me Lambert doesn’t really add a lot. Goal scorers are expensive/rare and every team wants one. AA stated after the Motherwell friendly that big lads up front are even harder to find because the trend in academies of late has been to develop smaller more mobile forwards. As for leadership in def...

Re: Leamington (A)

We don't need to find the perfect striker, but someone on loan who actually knows how to play as a striker would be a massive help. We have nobody who even knows how to play the role. Yet AA brought in Lambert. Because good big strikers cost around £900 a week. And decent loanees from our local clu...

Re: Leamington (A)

We are one player, namely an out and out centre forward, from being a bloody good team for this level. Agreed. This season is about being patient. The next few weeks are going to be tough and I can’t see us winning again until Blyth at the end of the month. During this run just remember that we hav...

So you don’t think that questioning the need for food banks is relevant. It must be cozy in your Ivory Tower.

Yeh...but the other slight issue / aspect of this Ossett used the insurance provider and cover recommended by the league and the FA. Re: Darlington V Walsall Match Thread

I thought all of our players made a good account of themselves, we just need a bigger hold up striker to link play. The fact we could only make one substitution, which was a roll of the dice move of putting a big defender upfront in the hope of winning a few knock-downs, shows our current limitation...

Re: Gates

I've gone back and forth on the arena vs Blackwell debate over and over again, but now I'm firmly in the anti-arena camp. Blackwell's biggest negative for me it the water-pipe restricting development. I don't mind the clubhouse along one side as I think Blackwell could be ok if a deep terrace could ...

Re: Burn Gone

I understand that AA has tried everything with Burn. Offered him out on loan to Whitby where he would have received same money (with us paying part wages). Offered to Whickham permanently, in same wages. Offered to train with first team with view to playing RB but made no effort in training so it w...

I don't think its appalling at all, it may deter others from similar acts. What would be appalling is if it was repeated and the club ended up with a fine.

Re: Gloucester V Darlington

Overspent versus what though? Realistic projections or actuals? If we’ve overspent the total annual budget before income from any cup run is known then I wouldn’t be happy, I don’t mind the spending of the total budget at the start of the year, rather than holding a % aside to cover mid season cost...

Re: Gloucester V Darlington

I’m just going off AA’s comments that he’d about maxed his budget before signing Donawa, Bell, Heaton. Maybe that was just the budget that he was allowed at that time that was maxed rather than a “reserve” budget too That's how I understood the budget situation. I'd be disappointed if we have overs...

Re: Gloucester V Darlington

I’d peddle Heaton, Holness, Hedley and get a proper right back and centre forward. If we could get shot of Laing to I would and bring in a new centre back. Watson can cover centre back and full backs and Bascome and Wheatley can cover Atkinson and Hatfield. Not difficult. Fortunately we have a mana...

Re: The Areana

I’ve changed my mind on this a few times, but seeing the state the arena is in currently, with its huge rust patches and filthy, stained facades etc, I would be worried about the long term future if it. Undoubtedly it would be a cheaper option than building something new, or upgrading Blackwell and ...

Two games. Laingy was getting the brunt of it and I was absolutely flabbergasted. “Things happen off the fie...

Re: Gateshead game...

Absolutely no need for some of these comments on Laing. Yes he got caught a couple of times in possession in the first half but so for example did Trotman yet not a word on that. And as has been pointed out the Gateshead number 9 was a nuisance and gave Galbraith just as much of a tough time. Secon...
