Re: FA CUP FIRST ROUND

Shockingly (to me anyway), we're only ranked 69 of the 79 in Round 1 (67 if Welling and Potters Bar pull off shock replay wins). For the record, here are the teams below us: 70 Dulwich Hamlet 71 Altrincham 72 Oxford City 73 Poole / Hayes & Yeading 74 Stourbridge / Whitby 75 Nantwich Town 76 Carshalt...

Quite excellent. Understated, perfectly timed. Worth breaking several years of not posting to congratulate you on this, young Gazza.

Probably no need to insult our former players - the majority elected to leave us so that they could remain more local.

We should be playing at Frickley that day, so good news. Their game against Stourbridge will be cancelled.

After sixteen years in the Americas, South and North, I've just come back to Europe (Portimão, Portugal). My last League game was Morecambe away (a 3-0 win, 2008 maybe?)

lo36789 and theoriginalfatcat - thanks for addressing my comment - I'm surprised I didn't get the usual shoot-down for attempting to raise this type of question - ie where the repayment money goes. Having put in what I'd call a large amount personally...it's sort of nice to know where that part of i...

Re: 606 & Swindon Town

Mark Cooper is clearly a good manager in a situation where the team is playing well and morale is high (and who wouldn't be?), but not so good when things get tough. My comment concerns the money 'owed' to him by DFC. In most jobs around the world, termination does not entitle you to have remaining ...

Thanks, Les, for trying to help. Craig, I would have thought that given what I have said in my posts you would be addressing me personally, not 'he'. This forum is supposed to be for direct, one-to-one communication. As you know, people just don't 'not receive' emails. If the address is correct, eit...

Re: FAO: CIC administration

Without wishing to seem whiny - five emails to the cic/1883 website, two posts here, seven weeks' waiting just for a confirmation. It may only be a tenth of what I originally pledged, but it's still a hundred quid, and I'd like to know it went where it was supposed to go.

FAO: CIC administration

I transferred money directly from crowdcube into the CIC on May 22nd. I've sent three emails through the CIC website, but still had no acknowledgement.

Can whoever is responsible for receiving CIC deposits please get in touch.

Re: How to Invest

This is related to a post I've just made. Saw this afterwards, but I really don't think 'just donating whatever you can to 1883' is the same thing as feeling you have joined the community club. This needs addressing I think, before interest wanes further.

new minimum level of donation

Doesn't anyone think it's time to lower the £100 minimum? Many factors to explain this, but mostly the fact that it's very low level football now and there's no longer a share purchase. Time is running short. Surely we should be welcoming a £50 and (junior) £25 'membership' levels. We can't afford t...

Re: An email to Mr. Appleby....

Very nicely put. (If you haven't sent it yet, change "owned" to "owed" in point 2.) Like others have said, I suspect the FA won't admit they've done anything wrong. I imagine that conversation on May 14th went something like this: 1883: "We've tried everything to agree a CVA, but the chairman put up...

Why don't you try adding your comments to mine on the Echo site? There's no point people restricting their moaning to this site - the paper needs to be flooded with real fans telling them how it is.

We don't know that this is true. In fact, we have no idea why there is now "not enough money", other than "more significant liabilities than there were this time last week", according to Craig.

I wish we could stop talking about "football creditors" and "non-football creditors", and start naming them. Any corrections welcome. The first 250,000 of money raised surely will go / has already gone to Harvey Madden (fees anything between zero and 250,000 - isn't it time we knew this?), the playe...

There's really nothing else to think or say, apart from something has gone badly wrong.

Lowestoft would be one of the teams who pull in over 1000. Along with Chester, Kettering, Boston, Halifax (if they don't go up) and FC United or Chorley (if either go up).

Brackley will come into the BSN next season. Then if play-off winners come from Lowestoft / Bury Town and/or Cambridge City / Stourbridge, we would see Bishop's Stortford and Gloucester going back south. Probably.
