Re: Darlington V Hornchurch Trophy Quarter Final
Fittingly god awful end to the season at home. Almost every performance I enjoyed this year was away from Blackwell Meadows . Ref was really terrible but at the same time I'm not sure we deserved anything today.

Re: Home Kit Vote
I would like a change from hoops but from these four I think the kind of hooped one is maybe the least bad. 3 is also Ok I guess.
4 is horrible and 2 if chosen would overtake the 96-97 soccerdome kit as the biggest pile of s**te Darlo have ever been seen in.

Yes Reid much better at centre back today than I have seen him play in midfield.

Re: Spennymoor Boxing Day
Difficult conditions. Thought we looked a bit better than we have in other home games. But still not sold that we have the attacking players for the formation we are playing. Hatfield looked at it. That is deffo our best midfield three if we are going to play 4-3-3 and also we have missed Liddle.

Re: Diego Maradona
In nearly 40 years watching football I have not seen a player dominate a world cup or ignite and inspire a city like Maradona did in Mexico and Naples. I can't think of anyone who comes close to him in terms of what he could do on a pitch or the impact off it. If I was older I might be saying Pele o...

Re: Away to Bristol rovers
Great shout from Makka Pakka. Four wins in the FA Cup is a great effort. As for the league I would like to see us try two up front in home games. I know 4-4-2 is unfashionable these days but have seen four homes where we have a lot of the ball and yet don't look like we are going to come out on top ...

Re: Away to Bristol rovers
Great cup run. Horrible afternoon but perhaps one game too far. Got to start winning league matches at home now. But as for the above posts I think people are absolutely right to question the selection. We lost 6-0 for heaven's sake.

This is horrific.
I dream of Darlo getting a top premier league team in the cup one day but if we played like this can you imagine.

Re: Team v BPA
I think what is most worrying is that in all four home games we haven't looked like turning it around. They are not freak results. We moved the ball about nicely at times and we have some good footballers in the squad no doubt but these four performances taken as a whole are terrible. It has not bee...

In all my years watching Darlo I can never remember us missing a player like we miss Hatfield when he is not there. Wheatley was good again today but he was on his own.

Re: Guiseley v Darlington
Great win. They looked sluggish all over the pitch and you could tell we had played more games. Wheatley and Hatfield first class. That is definitely our best midfield three but I guess we probably knew that already. I also love Sousa. Always looks like making something happen and a superb assist an...

Re: Darlington V Telford
Three points out of 15 then. Home games are obviously different in Covid times but bloody hell that was a hard watch and a long and very different season in front of us. Sousa was good and I thought Campbell was alright first half. Good to see Hatfield back playing and erm . . that's it

Darlo's best away kit?
As well as looking good yesterday, we also looked good. This kit is, IMO, the smartest away kit we have ever had.
I also liked a few in the mid 90s but what other good ones I am forgetting?

What a signing Sousa looks to be . To think if we had not been drawn against Tadcaster in the cup we wouldn't have seen him.
Great performance. Hunt another big positive today but everyone good.

Re: Support package announced
Important as many fans as possible use the streaming service for home games I think. I always like to believe there are loads of exiled Darlo fans who can't get to games but love the club every bit as much as we did when we lived in Darlo . Well now we can attend en masse from our homes and it could...

First time viewer/or listener to the radio . Really great job. Commentary good, highlights package done well.
. . Do we keep the money it raises? If so an even better job for both club and fans. Well done to everyone involved.

First experience of watching Darlo in my spare room in West Yorkshire. . . . Great to be able to do this but erm yeah the game: I thought we looked pretty decent for the first seven seconds until Hatfield went off.

Exactly this. Darlington football club. Home of social distancing since 2003. I actually cannot wait.
(Will make it easier for exiles to come to games too I think.)

The hooped kit looks particularly good I think. One of the best we have had and will buy next season. I was one of those who was up for a change but hey ho, I think the club did the right thing putting it to another vote with a hooped option. The only depressing thing about this whole debate is real...

Re: New kit
I have loved pretty much all of our hooped shirts - and I do associate the kit with Darlo success: Back to back titles under Brian Little, the great 95-96 team, the FA trophy and our rise through the non leagues but my reaction when I saw these was 'Oh good something a bit different.' I wonder if it...

I agree with this team almost entirely. Would just have Cartman in ahead of Armstrong. And maybe Ferguson in there too. But having said that Galbraith has been one of our most important players of the decade no doubt. Russell Trotman Brown Galbraith Ferguson Turnbull Hatfield Bridge-Wilkinson Thomps...

Re: Darlington V Telford
In fairness to Armstrong he had to pretty much build a whole new team with not much of a budget and then has had some injuries to cope with. Listening to his interviews I think he can see what the shortcomings of the squad are. I like what I have seen from the some of the players he has brought in. ...

Re: Gloucester V Darlington
We have been very unfortunate with injuries but this is a much grimmer start than I was expecting - particularly away from home where we simply look more like conceding than scoring. I don't live in Darlington so tend to go to more away games than home - perhaps thats why I am feeling more pessimist...

Re: Farsley V Darlington Match Thread
First game in ages. Full of pre season optimism after all the new signings but the first half was as poor a performance as I can remember. Bullied and carved open by an average team. Second half better but yeah that was hard work. On a positive note I thought Hatfield looked good and the sort of pla...
