Re: Boost the budget

£114,400. I'm still waiting for the right time to put mine in. There will be others wanting to be part of the last day rush. 120k is odds on now, good chance of 125k and an outside chance of 130k I reckon.` Hope you are right in the £130k but I will be more than happy with the £120k. And, like you,...

Re: Natcafe with AA

Need to dig into his thoughts on Dave Penny a bit more sounds as though they didn’t see eye to eye over football philosophy From what I remember of Penny he was happy to try to win every game 1-0. Think AA would rather win 5-4 so their football philosophies are very different. The less said about D...

Alex Storey is now contracted for next season.
For me along with Donawa this is one of our best signings.
Looking forward to watching this team next season. Whenever that will be.

Re: Potential new signings

Rumours circulating that York are listening to offers for Jameson and Maguire. Shocked about Jameson if true, if he wants to revert back to P/T football then a no brainer for us. Sent from my moto g(6) play using Tapatalk I think we should sign them both on and tell York that we will play them in a...

Compensation is on the cards here because he is under 24 - on DFC news website.
I think compensation might be in the form of some kind of sell on deal.. Guess we will have to wait and see.

Re: Thommo

There's an assumption here that it's about money. Where he ends up might give a clue to that being the case. Phrases like "he was on double the money of some other players" are meaningless. We will always have a player who is on double the salary of another player. Personally I think the Manager wa...

Interesting that he blamed a lot of the problems with Darlo on the Banking finance problems.. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't that happen in 2008, which was well before we had our problems with him.

Personally I never wanted to hear what Singh had to say - words are just words and Singh could sicked up a platter of silver tongued B.S. if he'd turned up to speak to us as proposed. Actions speak louder than words. I was in the same camp, didn't see the point in listening to what he had to say as...

Re: Eight games in 29 days.

Would take a couple of draws in our next away games v Guiseley & Chester I reckon 4 points are achievable from the next 2 games. We have a lot of momentum at the moment. The only fly in the ointment is our makeshift defence, which could be found out. I have read a couple of times now that we will b...

I’m not sure if any scouts read this board but if they do I’m sure has a 3 year contract and a 250k minumum release clause. Same with Campbell and Hatfield I believe. Or was it 300k? They won’t be cheap anyway.
Don't forget the 50% sell on clause

Great Interview and he comes across really well. On the basis of those articles, it seems he is destined to go higher One thing surprised me. I like that line up. But I would put Campbell in from the start and have Reid on the bench.. I just think that Campbell would be better playing off Martin, and I think his pace would worry the Alfreton backs.

Given the amount of rain that had fallen it would have been prudent to get a local ref to have a look at the pitch in good time. They didn't and allowed fans and players to travel, even issuing assurances that everything was OK.Of course, once the ref deemed areas of the pitch unfit, they immediate...

Harrogate haven't changed their starting eleven for the last 4 games. So if they are going for it then it will be like the below from the game v Maidenhead. Re: F A TROPHY DRAW ~ ROUND 2 ~ home to Harrogate

Agree with the above that it’s far from a great draw. Trophy is a bit of a weird competition in that only some of the National League sides actually take it seriously. You get a lot of odd results and surprises, particularly in the early rounds. So as Mister E says, get past Solihull and then Harro...

Great draw & as I said on another thread it will bring in a few extra fans on Wednesday. It could have been a home game against poolie!! Well, for my opinion. I think it is a very poor draw for us.. To fill the ground you need the opposition to take up their full allocation of tickets.
I would be very surprised if they bring 50 fans to the game, especially now that it is on the tv..
I would be happy (and surprised) if we get somewhere near 2000.
Hope i'm wrong mind.

Not sure what our record is but we've won more than 6 in a row in all competitions fairly recently. You can see the recent results on http://www.darlostats.co.uk/ During the 2012/13 Northern League season we won 17 games on the bounce between Boxing Day 2012 and the 15th April 2013.
