Boston V Darlington

Just watched the highlights. Could have gone 1 down when Ainge sliced a clearence and then just after we scored Ainge again at fault as he just seemed to lose his man, keeper made a good save. Looked a lucky result from the highlights in that we didnt concede at these times but sure there was more to...

TW - Learning His Trade

Last weekend I met some senior figures at a club TW was at previously and although they said he was a nice chap they didnt want him back. I like TW but I dont feel he will ever learn, he cant organise a defence and seems to see the obvious (strong holding midfielder arrives March) far too late. A fe...

Re: Darlington V FC United

Thought the lad from Huddersfield did really well and deserved his MOTM, looks like TW has brought in another good loan signing. Good to hear Pete. How did Holness play, I have great hopes for him? Thought he had a good game, added a bit of muscle in midfield and scored a good goal. Will be interest...

That depends on the chauffer! Like Mick, I'm a fizzy lager boy. Cheers Theres a few of us lager boys so dont worry! Like you I am impressed with the ground.Just a shame the pipe stops a stand being erected at the other end, even if it was half the width of the pitch it would encourage more away fan...

Re: Darlington V FC United

Mixture of emotions, relief - that looks like we are staying up, frustration - lack of a CF who can finish off chances we create, pride - the club was saved yet again by the fans, dismay - over the management of the team. Nevertheless, have renewed my season ticket - must be my heart ruling my head...

Re: Relegation Watch

There's an extraordinary interview with the FCUM manager after yesterday's terrible defeat in which he lambasts his players, saying one-and-a-half of them performed against Nuneaton, some of them are only bothered about money and he'll be shaking hands with them and saying goodbye. He says if they ...

Nuneaton....

The more I look at the team on Sat / squad the more I appreciate what a good job TW has done in putting it together. With Holness in the middle theres only a couple or three players players I wouldnt want around next season.Obviously some of the loans will go but on the whole its not bad. That said ...

Didn't get to tune in this weekend as I was away - how did Holness get on? (apart from a dubious sending off)
Did well, looks a big unit who can let the others play a bit but has good some skill himself.

Re: Nuneaton....

Holness looks a very good signing, just what we need to let Nicholson and co do their thing you would hope. As someone said earlier thank God for Thomo, just goes up a gear and changes the game. Support from a good 200 Darlo fans was brilliant. Was good for me to see Jackson get on as a sub. When I c...

Re: Hereford v Darlington Match Thread

The club needs to be challenging for a play off spot each season, if not floating support will just not bother and if we can lose to a poor team like Hereford like that I worry about next season I really do. This is a completely unreal expectation. If floating support only comes when we are challen...

They’re top of the league and he is a key player. I didn’t reference his efforts in our current league. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Cartman, despite his cult status, was not good enough at this level. What he does at the level below has very little relevance. Syers is another matter but we cou...

Hereford v Darlington Match Thread

Even at 0-2 you felt that Hereford were still in it, they were awful first half and then just went up a slight notch and that was it. Even first half Darlo were sitting so deep and just allowing them to shoot, cross for the big lad up front, get knock downs, shots from edge of the box, an accident wai...

Im going to continue but I must admit this season some of the signings have been awful and I could fully understand some people not having faith in Wright spending wisely. He has made good signings such as Nicholson but we cant afford costly mistakes, the loan players have bailed him out really. Wri...

Re: Harvey Saunders Departs

Really pleased for Harvey and I expect this will be a shrewd deal for the club, hopefully with some incentives for us (a player or two on loan )as well as a decent cash sum. Realistically we need to develop, grow and be prepared to sell on talent and Harvey looks to have the pace, poise and finishi...

Suppose hes got a family and associated costs so thats why he wont go and with his record he will have to get himself a normal job now.

Darlo V Man City... I remember this so well. It was a sell out at Feethams but I managed to acquire 2 Sky Hospitality seats at the last minute from one of our fanzine editors, whose name escapes me. What a great game  https://youtu.be/3ACdFcS-87s Wow, I have been looking for a copy of that...
