Re: Sporting Village

If Mowden go bust there's a stadium we can probably buy for a quid! Not that we could realistically afford to run it. It might get demolished and we might be able to use some of the land, you never know. Anyone got a spare £10 million? Let them demolish 3 sides then ask them to leave the Main Stand...

Boost the budget

Does anyone know of last years pledges how much did the club actually receive? Only ask as people circumstances change.I know the issues the guy who does sponsor a goal has sometimes collecting money.

Has anybody read the recent accounts filed by Hartlepool United Football Club Ltd up to 31st July 2019? Company owes £1.5m to Clarence 18 Limited due to loans provided (company solely owned by Singh). Company also owes £1.7m to Sage investments Ltd. Paying an estimated £330k per year on this - but ...

Could there be a way for clubs to charge for a season ticket for match streams? Whatever happens our club is in good hands. Not good news for the bankrolled clubs who punch above their weight though.
I was thinking that today. Could the games be streamed and paid for to help the clubs?

Boost the budget

Just been on, £36298 total......If like me you are lucky enough to be in work then you are not spending on much else so I think people will put in more.

Also, AA is doing a great job and Darlo fans clearly have faith in him.

Hasn't their parachute payments now ended, so putting their finances under further immense pressure? they ended at the end of last season. Ok thanks well that means they're in even more trouble & I think Singh is just looking for a way out & he's trying to save face. Has a certain SKY presenter com...

The part of the interview that struck me the most, weren't the parts about how Pools were struggling financially, how he couldn't find investors etc etc. It was his talk about the care-homes when asked about how his other business were in these difficult times. That's amazing! I wonder if anyone went to all five games? https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/hull-city-darlington-fa-cup-2nd-round-512081462 If they did they must have questioned their own sanity at the end of it all - FA Cup 2nd Round, 2nd Replay played at Elland Road, Leeds. My first game

My first game was a LC tie in 1975 at Sheff Wed. Colin Sinclair (my hero on the basis he was shown as top scorer in my Rothmans book of Football) played and scored. I had moved to Sheffield as a kid from Manchester and had followed Darlo as my " Second team" due to a kindness when I wrote to the clu...

Desperate times. A mate of mine who lives in and supports Dresden told me that TV companies were due to pay out TV money this month and the fact they wont do could put a few Bundesliga 2 clubs to the wall.

Re: Retention for next year

Agree with most. Would let Laing go and hang on to Trotman if we can, but if he gets an offer from higher up or ends up being a side celebrity after Love Island so wants to be closer to home we can make our peace with that. Tez and Thommo are legends but I'd be pulling them in and seeing how they'd...

Re: Retention for next year

I think we need a big ugly experienced CB if we want to go up. Liangs the one to make way.

Still think Thomos got another year in him and thought Donawa would be bought by someone further up the leagues but hes not in the best form atm so that might scupper that.

Re: New kit

I like 1, would be great as rest of the kit is White.

Would love to see the 3 small hoops design of late 60s early 70s (I think) as that is the first home kit I remember.

My first Darlo game in 1975 at SWFC, Darlo wore White shirts and Red shorts as an away kit!

Re: Solihull Moors Away - FA Trophy 1st Rnd

87 sounds right for the away following as it looked more so I counted them.

Solihull really tried to win the game so full credit to the lads.Get a couple or three players back from injury and a couple of signings and we have a great squad.

Re: Leamington (A)

We need a nasty, hard, horrible centre half who can organise and a nasty, hard, horrible , massive centre forward who can bully people, hold the ball up and score goals. Those players must be out there, hard men who drive the team on...and want any win bonus going! I think with those 2 additions an...

Re: Leamington (A)

We are one player, namely an out and out centre forward, from being a bloody good team for this level. Sounds awful on DFR, feels like we dont believe we can win. Agree, need to give the opposition more to worry about and a striker will bring back confidence. Chester and York coming up, you just kn...
