Re: Signings

Personally I wouldn’t be gutted if Jameson didn’t sign. There’s plenty of decent keepers out there to loan if required. It’s the striker that we are desperate for. Could also do with some staff

Re: Dan Maguire signs!!

If we are saying that Amar who ended up 2nd in the goalscoring charts isn’t good enough then aren’t we saying that non in the NL would be good enough?

Re: Dan Maguire

I think we should forget about Maguire if York and Spendy want to chuck money at players then we need to walk away, we still are an attractive club to many a player at this level so we should be able to bring in a decent couple of strikers. Don’t understand why we’d need to walk away. We offer him ...

Re: More signings pls xoxo

Sunderland have released Max Stryjek and Luke Molynuex wonder if they could be potential players we could look at Stryjek was last in the Football League, so would take desperation for him to drop to part time level. Same goes for Molyneux, he’ll be wanting a full-time gig at National League Premie...

Re: Curtis Main

Agree with Spen on this one.

He had some talent and when he left he was still very young. Having said that, I'm sure he was about 7th choice at the time. We had some decent striker options and Smith was there at the time too, so his appearances were limited

Re: Early odds for next season

not sure I understand the justification for York being favourites. would expect Spenny, Brackley and Alty to be there or thereabouts. Don't see any outstanding candidates. Probably a group of 10-14 that could challenge for the playoffs

Re: New Signings

Yep, club tweeted on Wednesday to say interviews would be on official site tomorrow but don't think anything was added. To be honest the media team have been/are away so think we can give them a break considering the work they put in and how quick they get things online normally. What are the playe...

Re: Assistant Manager, Alan White

I thought I’d read somewhere (possibly at a fans forum) that AW wasn’t doing the academy as he didn’t have the right qualifications to run on his own, therefore TW did it. Happy to be corrected

Re: Released players

Would anyone be interested in Scott Loach after his release from pools? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Reading between the lines he was on a good wedge at Hartlepool and had been asked to take a wage drop to which he’s declined. I’m sure with his pedigree he’ll get another decent full time deal...

Re: Signings

I could see the possibility of all the ones you mentioned leaving however, for Burn and Ainge there would have to be takers and it'd likely be in a lower league. Could lower teams afford them and Burn/Ainge would have to accept a lower wage when they could easily sit on their contract. Difficult to ...

Re: Signings

I think it's really interesting that Alun says he'll speak to the contracted players to see what they want. Definately the potential to move players on, however he may find a stumbling block depending on the player as there won't be many takers for some. He also seemed delighted to have Tommo playin...

Re: Boost The Budget 19/20

It's going to be very difficult for DJ to predict a budget again. There's some optimism amongst fans again and that brings crowds back. If we sign a few top players, then that could bring a few in. Get a decent start and more will come back. On the other hand, we could fall flat on our faces and no ...

Re: New Manager Interviews this week

Spenny have offered eye watering money to 3 Blyth players, and you can bet your bottom dollar that a) we want all 3, b) they won't all get a regular game there, and c) it's more about denying Darlo than improving their squad. I laughed out loud. Spenny signing a player just to deny you lot? Are you...

Wasn’t he on loan at Accrington Stanley. No way he or boro would allow a loan to us

Re: New Manager Interviews this week

Personally out of the names suggested I reckon it will be Alun Armstrong he’s unhappy at Blyth so will likely bring his whole team and a raft of players with him. The good news for me is he won’t want to tread water so we should see an exciting season coming up. Personality wise he’s more MG than T...

Re: Boost The Budget 19/20

I think that we'll get £90,000+ this year, as there are people holding off until the new manager is appointed, others who are waiting until the end so they can be part of the end of the month rush, yet others who are considering increasing their pledge etc. We are well ahead of the same point which...

Hopefully scope for the new manager to bring in a decent amount of players plus loans. The defence does need sorting out as our goals against column was shocking last year however it improved towards the end of the season. We need a midfield spoiler as we were too light weight, hopefully we will ha...

What is this obsession with ex players he was dropped at York city because of a loss of form. And at the end of the day it didn't take Adam Bartlett long to show where is tr...
