Moving swiftly on....
I realised today how much I want to see the inside of a stadium again. If nothing changes re covid, then i think our first opportunities to see anything will be the jan away fixtures at southport, chester and kettering, all Tier 2 for the moment. Or will they automatically just ban us because the re...

Re: Eindhoven planning
I had the misfortune of spending a whole day in Eindhoven while waiting for a flight back to the UK.
I would plan on spending as little time there as possible. And plan only to watch football, eat and drink.

From another exile who hasn't seen any of the dire stuff or the turnaround until Tamworth last week. I was hugely underwhelmed - can't deny the turnaround, or it's apparent continuation yesterday, albeit against Ferriby but do the differences in personnel at Tamworth reveal anything else about where...

Worried that we're going all out for promotion with no infrastructure behind it. The fans have clearly run out of money FFS. Shoot me down but I haven't put anything in this time around and I haven't run out of money. I've been biding my time just to see how things pan out, so as not to throw good ...

yes, whoosh indeed. my attempt to suggest that, unfortunate as this situation is, this isn't a time to be too reactionary. We are the club now, we do need some leaders and those who can create and execute a plan but our club is now structured very differently from most of the rest and we need always...

Re: Spenny signings
Personally not convinced Armstrong was in MGs plans for next season. I suppose my theory is backed up by the fact he left to play football. Your theory that we want someone to directly replace him is fuelled by reports we want a striker. Teams promoted from EvoStik Prem do not set the world alight ...

Re: Spenny signings
I haven't seen all these guys play too much so a view from further afield, which is never a bad thing. Cartman is the only striker we have who we know will score goals as part of this team - but we're stepping up again and there are a couple of new additions, maybe a slightly different system.... T...

Re: Match Thread
Bit of a funny game today I thought - not many chances, we looked pretty solid apart from the last 10 and there were some nice passages of play. I've come away wondering what went on for a lot of the game though - maybe we did just cancel each out pretty much. Very impressed with the togetherness, c...

Re: Liam Hardy signs...
In our situation, we should not be doing anything that is further deteriorating our financial position. If MG is able to bring somebody in by releasing others, juggling stuff around and maintaining the playing budget, fair enough. If he can't, but he does, and others at the club sanction this kind o...

Re: Pitch inspection 9am Saturday 9th
Trying to concentrate on a half full glass, rather than a half empty one, the jetstream is moving south and, within a few days, we should be in for a dry, if colder, remainder of January. It would be nice to talk about football for a change, rather than the weather. frozen pitches rather than water...

Re: ban this scum
I think this is something that DFCSG members should be raising with the board as a concern and asking them to address and respond. We don't want it, we don't need it and we should be pressing to ensure that everything that can be done, is done. I think most genuine fans in this league understand wha...

Re: Darlington Rugby Club Meeting 14/12/2015 7PM
If we have to raise the same income as we did with a 'rich' owner, then I'm not sure what the point of being fan owned is. We should be finding our level without having to keep fund raising to top up the playing budget. It is acceptable to fund raise to get the ground up to spec, to buy cameras or ...

Re: Barwell v Darlo match thread
MG hasn't worked out how to get the best from this squad yet. True, and that's why we're in a relegation battle - as you say he's just not getting the best from these players. Imagine if he got his finger out and got these players playing to their potential? I reckon we'd be top 5 easy - probably 4...

Re: Barwell v Darlo match thread
The weather is obviously the same for both teams at any one time but there was a significant difference between the two halves. We were up against it with the wind first half and at times even Barwell struggled to use it to their advantage - but the upshot was that the game was played in our third a...

I can't believe he was in that mood just because of a performance. There's something else amiss at the club or he's brought sommat from home. We all have bad days at the office and under the circumstances would probably have been wiser to have a quiet word with Ray and explain he wasn't in a good pl...

Maybe not the most useful of messages?!
Any chance of someone from the club trying to get an indication from Rammy as to where we could/should be parking?
