Just to add a couple of further points from the recent fans' forum with DJ - and these are only my interpretations of what DJ was saying. He mentioned that the 4G pitch could / should be the first part of a new stadium development to be built - hopefully providing a revenue stream for the club up-fr...

Re: So Faverdale or Skerningham

At the last fans' forum, DJ did say that one of the 2 sites in contention did have the potential for a railway stop nearby. Presumably this would be the Faverdale option with the Darlington / North Road / Bishop Auckland line nearby.

Re: Team v BPA

The is with one eye on next Sunday, we have to give ourselves the best chance of causing an upset. Why? The league is far more important this year. We aren't going to win the FA Cup, and the big prize for a non league club - an away tie at somewhere like Man U, has lost it's value because there won...

Doubt people from the Rugby Club bother to look on here but who cares if they do? If don’t like what they see perhaps they could ponder on why they are so disliked. Oh trust me, they do. And there’s plenty of posts in this thread alone to give them further ammunition to fuel the bitterness towards ...

A couple of articles from The Guardian's David Conn. This is turning out to be very murky and probably not much to do with coronavirus and more to do with making a killing on share prices https://www.theguardian.com/football/2020/jul/02/story-of-how-wigan-collapsed-into-administration-au-yeung-inves...

Re: Who will follow Wigan Athletic into administration?

Above all, it shows there are no guarantees when a club is privately owned and how and when that club is disposed of. Loading the club with debt is another feature of terrible financial mis-management

The more time goes on the more I begin to appreciate the benefits of fan ownership. It does limit the ambition moving forward but perhaps that is a good thing for us as it keeps us focused on the hear and now. The major benefit it does have is to bind our loyal fans to the club in a way that is muc...

Clearly things aren't going to get better any time soon, as now 17366 people have lost their lives in the UK hospitals, that's more people than live in Guisborough. Quite a stark fact. The FT have now added weekly figures from outside of hospitals (currently not counted for some reason) including c...

Whilst it’s right to focus on the health issues, is it feasible that a significant number of fans would donate the price of an entrance ticket (or more) for each subsequent game should they be postponed / cancelled? Cash flow is crucial for the club

Unless I've misunderstood this it seems that season ticket holders and 500 club members miss out - which is isn't a good policy. From the club site -- "Taking into account that the normal admission price for a home game is £14, then you're only paying £11 for a meal and a programme. Commercial dire...
