Re: SEASON POSTPONED?

Looks like no fans allowed, and our league says with no fans, no games! Its depressing isn't it? It is also worrying for clubs in general and their ability to survive. What is even worse is having to spend Saturday's with out an excuse to get away from the missus I should imagine that's a two way s...

Re: Early odds

Spendy and Gloucester are exceptional value there. i fancy Gloucester for the league (if it starts) Funny club, Gloucester. Often tipped at the start of the season and yet never seem to live up to their potential. In the 11 consecutive seasons they've spent in the NLN or NLS they've never finished ...

Re: Fixtures out 1pm Tue 8th Sep

Starting to get worried that we might not get too far this season. Around 6 northern league games cancelled and a few in the midlands I believe. Couple of city players have it, it’s coming back again Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pretty serious turn of events following a friendly at Burnside W...

Not a surprise Sad sad day Arena worshippers paying back handers were always gonna win. As they will when we conviently never leave the Arena. Darlington fc ceased to exist today Oh we'll stagger on for a couple of years but in the end it's gonna kill us again. Watch this space fools Thought you sa...

Hope our lads get tested for Covid after playing the Boro boys.
With Storey coming back from Hernia, he had to go into quarantine which explained his absence.
Lovely spot that, but a pain to get to.

Re: Ground share

And that proves my point Arena worshippers don't care if we can get more fans in the Arena than Blackwell meadows they just want to go back. This has been planned by shady characters for years. The Arena will not pass a safety inspection as its a rusting shithole I have already informed the relevant...

Re: Ground share

Still no decision regards our request to play at the Arena? How long do the League need to make a decision. Clearly the venue cannot be the problem as it must be better (Safer) than most grounds in NLN. There is no rush until the outcome of the pilots is received and we actually start to plan for t...

Re: impact on ground capacity

It's still not yet certain that Boston will be able to kick off next season in their new ground and if they do manage it there will still only be two stands ready, so that will affect the capacity. They have previously said they have a groundshare option in place should the Covid delays mean the ne...

I'll always remember his late winning header at home in the televised game against Bradford City. Also when a group of us drove down to watch him play for Lichenstein at Cardiff Arms Park, we created a bit of a stir amongst the Lichenstein fans. And the Lichtenstein fans? TBH even the " fit & proper owners" test doesnt appear to work, so how they intend to enforce the salary cap remains to be seen. Re: Attacking options

AA had no issues in Atkinson leaving to go and play in Iceland when he was at Blyth. The difference is, I guess, that Atkinson had a solid offer and Omar is taking his chance. Harsh to say 'he's not that fussed about being at Darlington'. Omar wants to try for full-time football and obviously we ca...

With TV money and the backing of Mr Weaver I am sure they will be fine. Crowds may not exceed 2000 if fans are allowed but look at Accrington.
Harrogate are going to share with Donny Rovers, 45 miles away, until the plaggy pitch is replaced, so gates of 2000 might be a tad optimistic.

The discussion about Nicky Hunt reminds me of Mick Tate. He joined Darlo in 1990 after we'd secured promotion back to the Football League from the Conference. Tate was 34 and had played nearly 550 matches in the FL, the vast majority in the 2nd tier. He then was a massive influence in getting us pr...
