Re: Away to Bristol rovers

Missed out on a home tie against Sheffield United. Marine v Spurs. Romance of the cup, jumpers for goalposts, John Motson's sheepskin coat, Ronnie Radford - shirt too small. Isn't it? Marvellous. Small boys sat on a wall, a couple of chairs pulled up by the side of the pitch, a header, a dive, an o...

Re: Team v BPA

It’ll be interesting to see what those wanting players rested have to say if we miss out on the playoffs by a point if we don’t beat BPA tonight. Well, that would only work if we dropped no other points the whole season than any points dropped against BPA tonight. Otherwise how can you attribute th...

Re: Guiseley v Darlington

Sousa has incredible feet - there was one move not long after our first goal where he got in the box and for all the world looked like he'd square it to Campbell for a relative tap-in (and he should have done) but instead he did a little side step and had a go himself - ball ended up falling to Cam...

I couldn't tell on the penalty but their players weren't happy with it at all
You can tell by the way Maguire falls - full length, arms outstretched in front of him even though the challenge has come from the side. Completely unnatural, like a comedy penalty claim.

We aren't going to finish with 11 men on the pitch, this ref is as biased as fuck.
And then he goes and gives that penalty :o I hate to see players cheating, I don't care who they play for.

The Arena features in an article on ten unsuccessful stadium moves https://www.theguardian.com/football/the-set-pieces-blog/2020/nov/16/new-ground-10-unsuccessful-modern-stadium-moves . To his credit, the writer was quick to change the original wording ‘Darlington folded and reformed in 2012’, to 'D...

Huge money for the club but not as much as it would be if crowds were allowed in obviously, as we would be pocketing this money plus half of the crowd. I've watched the incident again - and Hunt was actually fouled, so the ref got it wrong. The Boston player went for the ball and slipped (I don't think the foul was deliberate) and he ended up slide tackling Hunt who because of this headed the ball backwards You're kidding right?
