Re: Season VOIDED

When exactly next season will start is of course down to what happens in the next few weeks and months, but at least when it does start the authorities will be able to plan what shape it should take. If it does not start until say October or November then they could plan for a shortened season of p...

Re: Season VOIDED

No integrity for steps 3-6 though is there? Exactly. Why are people so desperate to get next season started on time? Get this season finished first. The FA have the power to make sure this happens so why not do that. Next season is likely to be disrupted too so what will we do then? Void another se...

Re: Our banana munching "friends"

I'm sure, if owners putting money into football club to keep things going is such a bad thing, PJ Poolie will be encouraging Raj Singh not to put any money into Hartlepool over this period. Of course, this would mean Hartlepool go bust, but there we go. Post that on the poolie board and wait for th...

https://darlingtonfc.co.uk/fixtures Wow. Check out our fixtures on the official website. They're not hopeful of this ending anytime soon. Very disappointed as we obviously not made promotion in 79 years[emoji26] Could have gone all the way up to the Prem and back again leaving the arena a 55k all s...

I don't see how anyone could fail to see the irony in BJ getting the virus. I don't wish him ill at all, but my first thought when I heard the news was I hope a few of the fools learn from this. Just yesterday people were arguing on a selling site that "It can be sorted so we are safe" when going t...

What are you saying? That Boris thought being Prime Minister and dealing with global issues would be straightforward? Stop talking rot and put your political views aside. Re: Season VOIDED

Was going to say what is the point suing the league they had no say in the matter. FWIW the FA handbook (http://www.thefa.com/-/media/files/thefaportal/governance-docs/rules-of-the-association/2019-20/fa-handbook-2019---revised.ashx) has two clauses in it. One states that the playing season must be...

Re: Coronavirus and DFC

I watched Martin Lewis tonight. He was most insistent that employees who couldn't work because of this crisis can be "furloughed", meaning the Gov just feed back 80% of their wage back through their pay packet. He even told a story of a friend of his who had just been sacked. Martin Lewis said to h...

Re: Coronavirus and DFC

If the club are proactive they should put all PAYE staff as furloughed staff as at least 80% of PAYE costs will be covered. I don’t think they will be able to apply for CBIL due to the previous accounts and the fact the banks are looking for security, as we don’t have any. Most players finish up be...

Re: Coronavirus.

I see Darlington has the joint 3rd lowest outbreaks of Coronavirus amongst the Local Authorities in England, with only Blackburn & Darwen & Hull with fewer cases. Bluntly, and ashamed to say, I am amazed Hull is relatively low. I went onto a local site on Monday and posted a scathing comment along ...

Re: Our banana munching "friends"

I'm sure many clubs will be using the pandemic as a reason for getting players to take wage cuts & laying off non-playing staff. I don't think a 20% pay cut is too bad, it could have been far worse for their players. Does this 80% figure mean that the staff are just getting the government subsidy, ...

There must be some versions out there somewhere. I've no idea if the club would have any.

An online watchalong would be great. I've noticed Boro doing it and it's gone down well.
Wonder what I'd see, that I missed on the day, by watching it sober?

Sadly the reality for us is we will be weaker next season in terms of budget but will others be weaker, who knows and not something I want to concentrate on as we can only control our own future. At the moment we are expecting to spend more money than we would of from the EB Season Ticket as we pay...

The horrible old knacker deserves to be locked up again. It still amazes me he's still going to be honest, given the age and size of him. There won't be many who are sad when he shuffles off this mortal coil. Nasty piece of work.
